Port Authority is the debut studio album by Canadian hip hop producer Marco Polo. It was released on Soulspazm and Rawkus Records on May 15, 2007. It is the first installment of the Port Authority series, followed by PA2: The Director's Cut in 2013. [2]

Timmhotep Aku of XXL praised Marco Polo's decision to feature "some of the East Coast's finest vets and samples." [8] Rowald Pruyn of RapReviews.com described him as "a one man band, creating instead of compiling." [5] Jeff Weiss of Stylus Magazine noted that he pays "homage to the latter Golden Age through scratched hooks, graveyard strings, and breakbeats redolent of worn vinyl and dust." [6]

Casualties of War is the fourth studio album by American hip hop supergroup Boot Camp Clik. It was released on August 14, 2007 through Duck Down Music, and is compiled of leftover tracks recorded for the group's previous album, 2006's The Last Stand. Recording sessions took place at CDR Studio'z in New York. Production was handled by Coptic, Dan the Man, Soul G, Marco Polo, 9th Wonder, Chris the Four, Dub Z, Fred Bear, Jaywan Inc., Marvel da Beat Bandit, Moods and Vibrations Prod. and Nottz, with Buckshot and Drew "Dru-Ha" Friedman serving as executive producers. The album features contributions from seven of the eight original members with O.G.C.'s Louieville Sluggah being the only absent member, as well as guest appearances from Ruste Juxx, Supreme, 5ft, Blue Flame and G-Tang.

He was named after Denmark Vesey, leader of a slave revolt planned in 1822 in Charleston, South Carolina; it was interrupted before any actions took place. He is also a member of the west coast collective Dirty Science.

The first installment of the Port Authority series was released in 2007 under Soulspazm and Rawkus. In May 2013, the second installment of the Newport Authority series, Newport Authority 2, was released for free as a prelude to PA2.

The album was engineered by Miami-based songwriting and production team The Monsters & The Strangerz. The album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, with 187,000 copies sold in its first week.

It features guest appearances from DJ Revolution, Rock, Freddie Foxxx, Black Moon, and Sean Price. It peaked at number 42 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, as well as number 67 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
