Lorenzo Lotto was an Italian painter, draughtsman, and illustrator, traditionally placed in the Venetian school, though much of his career was spent in other north Italian cities. He painted mainly altarpieces, religious subjects and portraits. He was active during the High Renaissance and the first half of the Mannerist period, but his work maintained a generally similar High Renaissance style throughout his career, although his nervous and eccentric posings and distortions represented a transitional stage to the Florentine and Roman Mannerists.

St Antoninus Giving Alms or The Alms of St Antoninus is an oil-on-canvas painting by the Italian artist Lorenzo Lotto, created c. 1540–1542. It depicts Archbishop Antoninus of Florence giving alms as an allegorical ideal for bureaucratic charity. The painting is now displayed in the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice.

Pietà is an oil-on-canvas painting by the Italian High Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, signed "Laurentio Lotto". It is mentioned in Lotto's account books as being commissioned in 1538 for the altar dedicated to the Pietà in the Dominican Church of San Paolo in Treviso. The account books also mention that the work was completed in 1545. That church was suppressed under the Napoleonic regime late in the 18th century and in 1811 the painting was bought for 12 ducats by the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, where it still hangs.
The Ponteranica Altarpiece is a six-panel oil painting series produced by Lorenzo Lotto in 1522, commissioned by the Scuola del Corpo di Cristo for the parish church of San Vincenzo e Sant'Alessandro in Ponteranica, where it still remains. Its upper register shows the risen Christ flanked by an Annunciation scene, whilst below is John the Baptist flanked by saints Peter and Paul.
Portrait of Brother Gregorio Belo of Vicenza is a 1547 oil-on-canvas painting by the Italian High Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It is inscribed bottom right "F. Gregorr belo de Vicentia / eremite in Hieronimi Ordinis beati / fratri Petris de Pisis Anno / etatis eius LV, M.D.XLVII". Its subject was a Hieronymite monk and so the image's iconography draws on that of the penitent St Jerome.
Portrait of a Woman Inspired by Lucretia is an oil-on-canvas portrait by the Italian Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, created c. 1533. It is now in the National Gallery, London, which bought it in 1927.
Holy Family with the Family of St John the Baptist is an oil-on-canvas painting created c. 1536 by the Italian artist Lorenzo Lotto, and now in the Louvre in Paris. It was probably produced as a private commission, possibly for a Venetian. However, for unknown reasons it remained with the artist, who tried to sell it on before leaving for the Marche in 1549, as recorded in a note in his commonplace books. He sought to use his friend Jacopo Sansovino as his go-between for the work, but Sansovino ended up unable to sell this or any other works by Lotto and returned them all to the painter.
Holy Family with Saint Catherine of Alexandria is a 1533 oil-on-canvas painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, now in the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo. It is signed and dated "Laurentius Lotus 1533" and it measures 85.7 cm in height and 110.8 cm in width. Six later copies after the work are known. The Bergamo version is judged to be of exceptional quality, and the earliest.
Saint Jerome in Penitence is an oil-on-panel painting by Italian Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto. Its signature ("Lotus") is fully legible, but the final number of the date is illegible, though it is usually dated to around 1506. It is now in the Louvre.
Saint Lucy Before the Judge is a mixed-medium panel painting by the Italian Renaissance artist Lorenzo Lotto, signed and dated to 1532, consisting of a main work and a predella with three other scenes from saint Lucy's life. It is now in the Pinacoteca civica e galleria di arte contemporanea in Jesi in the province of Ancona.
Lament over the Dead Christ is an oil-on-canvas painting by Lorenzo Lotto, created c. 1522, now in the sacristy of Sant'Alessandro in Colonna on via Sant'Alessandro in Bergamo. The work was restored in 1548, 1702, 1880 and 1998, not always respecting the original tones and colours and thus rendering it difficult to recognise Lotto's traditional characteristics.
