Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is a centrist political party in Pakistan founded in 1996 by former international cricket captain and current Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. As a result of the 2018 general election, PTI is the governing party of Pakistan as the largest party in the National Assembly in the ruling coalition.

The 2009 Jamrud mosque bombing occurred on 27 March 2009, in Jamrud in the Khyber Agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas during Friday prayers. Its foundation stone was laid by Great Sufi Of Chishtia clan and the Spiritual Master Of Nawab Of Bahawalpur Hazrat Noor Muhammad Maharvi more than 200 years ago.The renovation was done by the order of His highness Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi in 1935 after returning from hajj. 50,000 to 60,000 people can pray in the mosque at a time.
