Precure Kids are a Japanese musical girl troupe in which girls dress as characters from the Pretty Cure anime series created by Toei Animation. They perform on stage.
Precure began as a tie-up project to the TV anime, Precure, in 2004. The program includes dancing to the opening and ending themes and dialogue. The show is hosted by Kagawa Teruko. It ended in 2009.
Precure originally had two characters: Cure Black (Misumi Nagisa), played by Ayaka Enomoto; and Cure White (Yukishiro Honoka), played by Miyagi Kaori. They debuted at the BANDAI Museum in Matsudo on 14 April 2004. [1]
The second PreCure series, Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart added a character, Shiny Luminous (Kujou Hikari), played by Miura Saika. [2]
The third PreCure series, Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash Star , changed characters: Saki Hyuuga (Cure Bloom/Cure Bright) played by Kojima Moe; and Mai Mishou (Cure Egret/Cure Windy), played by Hayakawa Otone. The series debuted at Ariake, Koto ward. [3]
The fourth PreCure series, Yes! PreCure 5 again changed characters and expanded the troupe to five, debuting at Kawasaki. the characters were: Cure Dream (Yumehara Nozomi) played by Hayakawa Otone; Cure Rouge (Natsuki Rin) played by Kojima Moe; Cure Lemonade (Kasugano Urara) played by Iitsuka Yui; Cure Mint (Akimoto Komachi) playing Iita Rena; and Cure Aqua (Minazuki Karen) playing Egawa Riho. The fifth Precure series, Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo! , retired Yui Iitsuka, and debuted Mao Nakagawa as Cure Lemonade (Kasugano Urara) at Seibu Dome in Saitama. [5]

Each series revolves around a group of magical girls known as Pretty Cures who battle against evil forces. Starting in February 2004 with Futari wa Pretty Cure, the franchise has seen many anime series, spanning over 800 episodes to date, as well as spawning movies, manga, toys, and video games. Its most recent iteration, Tropical-Rouge! Pretty Cure, began airing in February 2021 as part of TV Asahi's Sunday morning children's television block. To date, three series have received English adaptations.
Izumi Todo, who is credited with creating series like Ojamajo Doremi and Pretty Cure, is a collective pen name used by Toei Animation television producers when contributing to their various anime series. Pseudonyms used in a similar manner include Hajime Yatate from Sunrise and Saburo Yatsude for Toei Company's anime and tokusatsu television productions. The use of the pen name began with Ojamajo Doremi.
Yes! PreCure 5 is a Japanese anime series and the fourth installment in Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure metaseries produced by Toei Animation, featuring the third generation of Cures. The series aired on TV Asahi between February 2007 and January 2008 and was followed by a sequel season, Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo!, which made up the franchise's fifth installment and aired between February 2008 and January 2009. Both series were directed by Toshiaki Komura and written by Yoshimi Narita. The character designs were done by Toshie Kawamura, who would go on to work on the character designs for Smile PreCure! and Hugtto! PreCure. The illustration book of her works was released on February 12, 2014. A manga adaptation was serialized in Kodansha's monthly Nakayoshi magazine. The series has made use of butterflies as the main motif whilst GoGo!'s main motif is roses.

Hugtto! PreCure Futari wa Pretty Cure: All Stars Memories is the 25th Pretty Cure movie, as well as the 11th All Stars movie produced by Toei Animation. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the franchise, the Hugtto! PreCure team joins forces with the Futari wa Pretty Cure team, alongside all the other teams as well.
