Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands, in the Atlantic Ocean, geographically part of Macaronesia, and politically part of Spain. It is located 97 km (60 mi) away from the coast of North Africa. The island was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2009.

Playa del Carmen, known colloquially as 'Playa', is a resort city located along the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is part of the municipality of Solidaridad. As of 2020, the city's population was just over 300,000 people during 2020, a small yet thriving portion of which are foreign immigrants.
Yaiza is a municipality on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Spain. It lies in the southwest of the island and forms part of the province of Las Palmas. The municipality is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, south and east. To the north, the Timanfaya National Park is partly within the municipality. The eastern part of the municipality is mountainous and, south west of the mountains, the Rubicon plain stretches to the coast.
Puerto Escondido is a small port and tourist center in the municipality of San Pedro Mixtepec Distrito 22 in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Prior to the 1930s, there was no town. The bay had been used as a port intermittently to ship coffee, but there was no permanent settlement due to the lack of potable water. The name "Puerto Escondido" had roots in the legend of a woman who escaped her captors and hid here. The Nahuatl word for this area was Zicatela, meaning “place of large thorns". Today, it refers to the area's most famous beach.
Arrecife is the capital city and a municipality of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. It was made the island's capital in 1852. The city owes its name to the rock reef which covers its local beach. It also gives its name to the nearby Arrecife Airport. The population of the municipality was 64,645 in 2020. Its area is 22.72 square kilometres (8.77 sq mi).
Graciosa Island or commonly La Graciosa is a volcanic island in the Canary Islands of Spain, located two kilometres north of Lanzarote across the Strait of El Río. As the rest of the Canary Islands, it was formed by the Canary hotspot. The island is part of the Chinijo Archipelago and the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park. It is administered by the municipality of Teguise in the neighboring island of Lanzarote. In 2018 La Graciosa was officially declared the eighth Canary Island by the Spanish Senate, with few real effects. Before then, the island had the status of an islet. It's administratively dependent on the island of Lanzarote.
Tías is a town and a municipality in the southern part of the island of Lanzarote, province of Las Palmas, autonomous community of the Canary Islands, Spain. The town Tías is situated 4 km from the south coast and 10 km west of the island capital Arrecife.
Los Cristianos is a town in Spain with a population of 21,235 (2017), situated on the south coast of the Canary Island of Tenerife. Located in the municipality of Arona between the cone of the mountain Chayofita and the greater mountain Guaza. The town centre is around the Los Cristianos bay, but is rapidly expanding inland with modern development. The town is a popular tourist resort and includes a ferry port and two beaches.
Costa Teguise is a coastal town in the Municipality of Teguise on the island of Lanzarote. It was built intentionally to accommodate tourism, and prior to building commencing the streets were planned, constructed, and serviced in advance.
Isla Contadora is a Panamanian island on the Pearl Islands archipelago in the Gulf of Panama. It has an area of 1.39 km2, which makes it the 11th largest island of the archipelago. With a population of 253, however, it ranks third, after Isla del Rey and Isla Taboga. A popular tourist destination, Contadora has a small regional/domestic airport, and has regular flights to and from Panama City and the rest of the islands in the archipelago.
Playa de la Arena is a resort town located south of Los Gigantes and Puerto Santiago resorts in the Santiago del Teide municipality on the West Coast of Tenerife, Spain. Located close to Los Gigantes, the prominent cliffs of the resort can be seen from across Playa De La Arena. The resort contains many restaurants, bars, and shops aimed predominantly to tourists. Playa de la Arena's main business is tourism, with around 5.8 million tourists in 2023. The playa is entirely made of black, natural, volcanic sand. The beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness for years.
Puerto Aventuras is a community located in Solidaridad Municipality, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It had a 2020 census population of 22,878 inhabitants, and is located at an elevation of 9 metres (30 ft) above sea level. It is the second-largest community in Solidaridad Municipality, after the municipal seat, Playa del Carmen.
Higuerote is the capital city of Brión Municipality, located in the coastal region of Barlovento, in the state of Miranda, Venezuela, approximately an hour and a half from Caracas.
Playa Blanca is the southernmost town of the Spanish island of Lanzarote. It is the newest resort on the island, and is part of the municipality of Yaiza.
Pedasí is a town and corregimiento situated on the south-eastern tip of the Azuero Peninsula on Panama’s Pacific coast. It is the capital of Pedasí District in Los Santos Province. Its population as of 1990 was 1,494; its population as of 2000 was 1,830. It had a population of 2,410 as of 2010. As of 1 July 2020 the population had grown to 4,696.
Barrio Playa, also known as Playa de Ponce, Ponce Playa, or La Playa, is one of the thirty-one barrios that comprise the municipality of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Along with Bucaná, Canas, Vayas, and Capitanejo, Playa is one of the municipality's five coastal barrios. Barrio Playa also incorporates several islands, the largest of which is Caja de Muertos. It was founded in 1831.
Uga is a small wine-producing village in Yaiza municipality in the province of Las Palmas, southern Lanzarote, off the coast of Africa. As of 2016 its population is 998, and nearby cities include Puerto del Carmen, Tías, and Playa Blanca. The closest airport is Lanzarote's official airport, also known as Arrecife airport.
La Provincia - Diario de Las Palmas is a daily newspaper of the province of Las Palmas. It is the result of the merger of the last Spanish evening paper, Diario de Las Palmas (1893), founded by Fernando de León y Castillo, and the morning paper La Provincia (1911) in January 2000. At that time both newspapers belonged to the Editorial Prensa Canaria group formed in 1978.
