Puss in Boots:The Last Wish (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack to the 2022 film Puss in Boots:The Last Wish ,a sequel to Puss in Boots (2011). The album was released on December 16,2022,by Back Lot Music, [1] and featured musical score composed by Heitor Pereira,who replaced Henry Jackman,the composer of the first film. It featured five songs performed by Antonio Banderas,Dan Navarro,Gaby Moreno and Pereira,with his score accompanying the remainder of the album.
On June 29,2022,Heitor Pereira was announced as the film's composer,who also began recording the score during that period. [2] [3] He was recommended by the film's executive producer and Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri,whom Pereira had worked in their productions,most notably for the Despicable Me and Minions films and has some experience with DreamWorks with its Madagascar specials like Merry Madagascar and Madly Madagascar. [4] The album featured five original songs performed by Karol G,Daniel Oviedo,Heitor Pereira,Paul Fisher,Dan Navarro,and Gaby Moreno. [5] Karol G performed the track "La Vida es Una" and co-produced it with longtime producer Ovy on the Drums. [6] [7] The song was released as a single on December 9,2022. [8] Pereira co-wrote the track "Fearless Hero" performed by Antonio Banderas and co-written by Dan Navarro and Paul Fisher, [9] and "Por Que Te Vas",co-written with and performed by Gaby Moreno. It also featured the cover of The Doors' "This Is The End" performed by Dan Navarro. The film also featured score tracks from Shrek 2 composed by Harry Gregson-Williams,with the tracks "Obliged to Help" and "The End / Happily Ever After". The soundtrack was released on December 16,2022,five days ahead of the film's release. [1]

The track "Narco" by Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet was featured in the second trailer of the film, [10] and Pitbull's "Café Con Leche" was featured in the final trailer. [11] The tracks were used for promotional purposes, and was neither featured in the soundtrack, nor in the film.
Odie Henderson of The Boston Globe wrote that "the music has a lovely Spanish flair" and "several catchy ditties by composer Heitor Pereira". [12] Daily Herald called the score as "Ennio Morricone-sque". [13]
Periera's score was listed to be under contention for the 95th Academy Awards under the Best Original Score category, [14] as was the original song: "La Vida es Una" by Karol G and "Fearless Hero", was under contention for the Best Original Song category. [15] Neither of the score and the songs, could get shortlisted. [16] [17] It received a nomination for Best Original Score in an Animated Film at the 13th Hollywood Music in Media Awards, losing to Alexandre Desplat for Pinocchio . [18]

Heitor Teixeira Pereira, or Heitor TP, is a Brazilian composer, songwriter, musician, arranger, and record producer. In his career, Pereira has recorded with the band Simply Red and several famous musicians, such as Elton John, Rod Stewart, k.d. lang, Milton Nascimento, and Jack Johnson; and currently works as a film score composer, as well as a musician at Hans Zimmer's studio, he is best known for being the composer of the Despicable Me franchise. Although primarily a guitarist, he also provided backing vocals live for the Simply Red song "Thrill Me". He also collaborates with film directors Chris Renaud, Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda, Raja Gosnell, and Cal Brunker.

The album was released on July 2, 2013, through Back Lot Music. The original music was composed by Heitor Pereira and Pharrell Williams, who previously scored for Despicable Me. The soundtrack to the film featured 24 tracks – eight songs and the remainder of the album, consists of original score tracks. Out of the eight songs, three original tracks, written by Williams, were featured in the album as well as the tracks "Another Irish Drinking Song", "I Swear" and "Y.M.C.A." were incorporated into the album. Besides that, two tracks from Despicable Me: "Fun, Fun, Fun" and the titular track is also featured in the soundtrack.
Minions: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack album to the 2015 film Minions, a spin-off/prequel and the third installment overall in the Despicable Me franchise, directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, the latter in his feature directorial debut. The original music is composed by Heitor Pereira who previously worked on Despicable Me (2010) and Despicable Me 2 (2013), where he composed the score with Pharrell Williams. Minions, however is the first film in the franchise, without the involvement of Williams and Pereira taking over the sole credit as the composer. Despicable Me 3 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the soundtrack album to the 2017 film Despicable Me 3, the fourth installment in the Despicable Me franchise and the sequel to Despicable Me 2 (2013). Pharrell Williams produced the soundtrack album, and also contributed five original songs for the film. The other tracks consisted of several pop singles from the 1980s performed by Michael Jackson, Madonna, Nena, A-ha and few songs and themes from the previous installments. The soundtrack for Despicable Me 3 was released on June 23, 2017, featuring sixteen tracks, and was led by two singles – "Yellow Light" and "There's Something Special" – which was made available through digital download and streaming on June 8 and 13, prior to the album release. Heitor Pereira, who worked on the previous installments, had composed the film's music. Despicable Me 3 (Original Motion Picture Score), which featured Pereira's original score of 38 tracks, was released by Back Lot Music on June 30.

Puss in Boots (Music from the Motion Picture) is the score album to the 2011 film of the same name, released by Sony Classical Records on October 26, 2011. The album featured 22 tracks from the original score composed by Henry Jackman, and two songs performed by the Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela: "Diablo Rojo" and "Hanuman" being included. Lady Gaga's song "Americano" was also featured in the film, but not included in the soundtrack. The music was positively received by critics and fans, and received him a nomination for Annie Award for Music in a Feature Production, but lost to John Williams for his score in The Adventures of Tintin (2011). The score is one of Jackman's film score catalog acquired by Reservoir Media in March 2022.

Daniel Echavarría Oviedo, known professionally as Ovy on the Drums, is a Colombian producer, composer, songwriter, and musician. He is a longtime collaborator with Colombian reggaeton artist Karol G, alongside working with Nicki Minaj, Shakira, and Myke Towers among other reggaeton and Latin pop acts. Echavarría Oviedo has won a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year and a Grammy Award for Best Música Urbana Album for his production work on Karol G's Mañana Será Bonito. Echavarría Oviedo has received a total of eight Latin Grammy nominations. Echavarría Oviedo has been described as "one of Latin music's top producers". As of 2022, Echavarría Oviedo had 32 entries on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.
