Qarah Chay (Persian : قره چاي‎, also Romanized as Qarah Chāy; also known as Qarah Chāh and Qareh Chāh)^[1] is a village in Dughayi Rural District, in the Central District of Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 155, in 38 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Dughayi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 13,180, in 3,297 families. The rural district has 47 villages.
