Qareh Chenaq (Persian : قره چناق‎, also Romanized as Qareh Chenāq)^[1] is a village in Gavdul-e Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Malekan County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 454, in 112 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Gavdul-e Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Malekan County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,264, in 1,709 families. The rural district has 22 villages.
