Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma [1] [2] [3] (born July 1, 2006), [4] professionally known as Qing Madi, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and dancer. [5] She gained widespread recognition after her 2022 single "See Finish" and its 2023 follow-up, "Ole" (featuring Bnxn), went viral on TikTok; the latter peaked at number one on the Uganda Top 100 Apple Music chart and number three on the Nigeria Top 100 Apple Music chart. Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma was born and raised in Benin City by her mother, along with her siblings. She is originally from Delta State. [16] Pearl attended Negbenegbor International School in Benin City for her secondary education. She began performing at a young age, participating in school talent shows and singing in her church's adult choir. [17] [18] [19]
On October 14, 2022, Madi released her breakout single "See Finish", which made its breakthrough primarily on TikTok. In January 2024, alongside OdumoduBlvck, Bloody Civilian, and Tyla, Qing Madi was inducted into the Apple Music's Rising Class of 2024. [34] [35] [36] In an interview with African Folder, Madi revealed she wrote two songs on her debut eponymous project when she was fourteen. [37]

P-Square are a Nigerian music duo composed of the twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, who co-write and co-produce most of their songs. Noted for their artistic reinvention, musical versatility, and visual presentation, they are widely regarded as one of the most influential African acts of all time and one of the most successful music groups from Africa. Afrobeats is an umbrella term to describe popular music from West Africa and the diaspora that initially developed in Nigeria, Ghana, and the UK in the 2000s and 2010s. Afrobeats is less of a style per se, and more of a descriptor for the fusion of sounds flowing majorly out of Nigeria. Genres such as hiplife, jùjú music, highlife and naija beats, among others, were amalgamated under the "Afrobeats" umbrella.

Ekeh Chiaka Joseph known professionally as Majeeed is a Nigerian afropop singer and songwriter signed to Dream Empire Music. He is known for his breakthrough single "Yawa No Dey End", released in 2022 as the lead single off his extended play Bitter Sweet. On 29 April 2022, a new version of "Yawa No Dey End", was released with Joeboy, through Dream Empire Music, and emPawa Africa, which peaked at number 41 on the Nigeria TurnTable Top 50 chart, on the week of May 9, 2022.
