Qovaq-e Sofla (Persian : قواق سفلي‎, also Romanized as Qovāq-e Soflá; also known as Qavāq and Qovāq)^[1] is a village in Anguran Rural District, Anguran District, Mahneshan County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 537, in 119 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Anguran Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Anguran District, Mahneshan County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,457, in 2,101 families. The rural district has 47 villages.

Anguran District is a district in Mahneshan County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 17,799, in 4,047 families. The District has one city: Dandi. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Anguran Rural District and Qaleh Juq Rural District.
