The Queensland Reds Women, or Queensland Reds (Super W), are an Australian women's rugby union team based in Brisbane, Queensland that compete in the annual Super Rugby Women's competition. A female rugby union competition, is considered to be the female equivalent of the Super Rugby, however only holds Australian teams (until 2022). New Zealand holds a similar competition, the Super Rugby Aupiki.
Founded in 2017, [1] prior to the first Super W season, the team has played in every edition, and has been one of the most competitive in the competition.
Grant Anderson was named as Head Coach for the 2024 Super Rugby Women's season, and Cecilia Smith has been named as captain for the side. [2] [3]
On 20 February, the squad for the 2024 Super Rugby Women's season was announced. [4] Prop, Bree-Anna Cheatham, has been ruled out for the season due to a knee injury. [4]

The Queensland Reds is the rugby union team for the Australian state of Queensland that competes in the Southern Hemisphere's Super Rugby competition. Prior to 1996, they were a representative team selected from the rugby union club competitions in Queensland. With the introduction of the professional Super 12 competition they moved to a model where players are contracted to the Reds through the Queensland Rugby Union rather than selected on the basis of club form.
Chris Whitaker is an Australian professional rugby union coach and former international player. As of 2018 he is head coach of the Sydney Rays in Australia's National Rugby Championship, and the interim head coach of Super Rugby side the New South Wales Waratahs,

Super Rugby Women's is an annual professional women's rugby union club competition organised by Rugby Australia. It is contested by five clubs from Australia and one club from Fiji, who play a single series of round-robin matches to determine the four participants of a single-elimination tournament. The competition replaced the representative National Women's Championship with five teams owned by the Australian Super Rugby franchises, and began play in the 2018 season as an amateur league known as the Super W. The 2022 season saw the addition of a team from Fiji, and the introduction of salaries for players. The league adopted its current name in the 2024 season. Fijiana Drua are the current champions, while the New South Wales Waratahs have won the most championships (4).

Cecilia Smith is an Australian rugby union player. She captains the Queensland Reds in the Super Rugby Women's competition and for Australia internationally. She was part of Australia's 2021 Rugby World Cup squad.
The Fijian Drua Women are a Fijian rugby union team based in Fiji. They compete in the Super Rugby Women's competition. They were crowned champions in their inaugural season in 2022, and successfully defended their title in 2023.

The New South Wales Waratahs Women are an Australian rugby union team that represents New South Wales in the Super W competition. They are the most successful team so far, having won four titles.
The ACT Brumbies Women are an Australian rugby union team based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The team competes in the annual Super W competition. They have competed in every edition since Rugby Australia announced that a national women's rugby competition would be launched in 2018.
The Western Force Women are an Australian rugby union team that competes annually in the Super W competition, and are based in Perth, Western Australia. They have competed in every edition of Super W since its official launch in 2018. They played under the name RugbyWA from 2019 to 2020.
The 2024 Super Rugby Women's season will be the seventh edition of the competition. The season is expected to begin on 15 March, with the Grand final taking place on 27 April.
