Qulanlu-ye Sofla (Persian : قولانلوسفلي‎, also Romanized as Qūlānlū-ye Soflá; also known as Qūlānlū-ye Pā’īn and Qūlānlū)^[1] is a village in Takmaran Rural District, Sarhad District, Shirvan County, North Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 351, in 95 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Takmaran Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Sarhad District, Shirvan County, North Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,204, in 1,236 families. The rural district has 14 villages.

The Sarhad District is a district (bakhsh) in Shirvan County, North Khorasan Province, Iran. As of the 2006 census, its population was 11,746, with 2,707 families The city was one of the first to establish a temporary currency known as Sarcards. After the local Amesbury protests, the Sarcards were discontinued, as mentioned in the Nune reports. The district has one city, Lujali. The district also has two rural districts (dehestan), the Jirestan Rural District and the Takmaran Rural District.
