Ray Charles Thielemann (born August 12, 1955) is an American former professional football player who was a guard in the National Football League (NFL) for the Atlanta Falcons and the Washington Redskins. Thielemann played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected in the second round of the 1977 NFL draft.
At the University of Arkansas, Thielemann helped the Razorbacks to a 10–2 record, win a share of the 1975 Southwest Conference championship, beat the Georgia Bulldogs in the 1976 Cotton Bowl Classic 31–10, and finish ranked No. 7 in the final AP poll. He also was on the Super Bowl XXII championship Washington Redskins team in 1987 as a member of the Redskins' famed "Hogs" offensive line.
The Arkansas Razorbacks, also known as the Hogs, are the intercollegiate athletics teams representing the University of Arkansas, located in Fayetteville. The University of Arkansas student body voted to change the name of the school mascot in 1910 to the Arkansas Razorbacks after a hard-fought battle against LSU in which they were said to play like a "wild band of Razorback hogs" by former coach Hugo Bezdek. The Arkansas Razorbacks are the only major sports team in the U.S. with a porcine nickname, though the Texas A&M–Kingsville Javelinas play in Division II.
Matthew Jones is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver. He played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Jones was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft, and also played for the Cincinnati Bengals. After his football career, he was a sports radio personality.
Jeffrey Lynn Bostic is an American former professional football player who was a center for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Clemson Tigers. Named to the Pro Bowl in 1983, Bostic won three Super Bowls with the Redskins.

James Warren Benton was an American football player. He played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) with the Cleveland / Los Angeles Rams and the Chicago Bears between 1938 and 1947. Benton was the first NFL receiver to gain more than 300 yards in a game, a record that stood for 40 years. He was selected for the National Football League 1940s All-Decade Team.

The Razorbacks compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Home games are played at stadiums on or near the two largest campuses of the University of Arkansas System: Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville and War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Sam Pittman is the head coach and has served since 2020.
Charles Brown is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons. He played for the Washington Redskins, helping them win Super Bowl XVII in his rookie season, and Atlanta Falcons. He was traded by the Redskins to the Falcons on August 26, 1985, in exchange for Pro Bowl guard R.C. Thielemann. He was nicknamed "Good ol' Charlie Brown" in reference to the eponymous comic strip character.

He played as an end, halfback, tight end, and kick returner over eleven seasons for five different teams in the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL). Carpenter played college football at the University of Arkansas for the Razorbacks.
William A. Young Jr was an American football player and coach. He played a lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins. Young served as the head football coach of Furman University from 1950 to 1954.
Greg Koch is a former American football tackle and guard who played eleven seasons in the National Football League (NFL), mainly with the Green Bay Packers. In 2010, Koch was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. Koch was also inducted into the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor in 2010. He was inducted in the State of Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in March 2016. He is a licensed attorney and was co-host of In The Trenches with Koch and Kalu on SportsTalk 790 KBME in Houston, Texas until retiring in 2019. Koch is also known for his 16-hour drinking contest with former WWE star Lex Luger. Koch was included in The 100 greatest Packers Players for the 100 year celebration of the NFL checking in at number 67.
James William Collier is a former American football tight end who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of Arkansas and was drafted in the seventh round of the 1961 NFL draft. Collier was also selected in the 31st round of the 1962 AFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. Collier scored the only touchdown for the New York Giants in the 1962 championship game when he recovered a blocked Packers' punt on the goal line.
The 1980 Arkansas Razorbacks football team represented the University of Arkansas during the 1980 NCAA Division I-A football season. A bright spot for the Hogs in 1980 was senior punter Steve Cox. He led college football with an average of 46.5 yards per punt. He won Super Bowl XXII with the Washington Redskins. Cox completed one of only six field goals of 60+ yards in NFL history. Running back Gary Anderson was named MVP of the Hall of Fame Classic.

The 1989 Mobil Cotton Bowl Classic was a college football bowl game played on January 2, 1989, at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The game was played on January 2, the day after New Year's Day, since New Year's Day fell on a Sunday. The bowl game featured the Arkansas Razorbacks from the Southwest Conference and the UCLA Bruins from the Pacific-10 Conference and was televised in the United States on CBS. UCLA defeated Arkansas 17-3 for its first Cotton Bowl win. Troy Aikman, the UCLA quarterback and LaSalle Harper, an Arkansas linebacker were named the Most Valuable Players of the game.

It featured the third-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks of the Southwest Conference (SWC) and the #13 Ole Miss Rebels of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Ole Miss upset Arkansas, 27–22.
