Wellington Vernon Dean (born May 5, 1959) is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive backs coach for the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL). He played professionally as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL), primarily for the Washington Redskins, with whom he won two Super Bowls.
Dean played college football for the San Diego State Aztecs and was selected by Washington in the second round of the 1982 NFL draft. He also played for the Seattle Seahawks. Dean was the defensive backs coach at Virginia State University. [1]
Dean played 7 seasons in the NFL, 6 with the Washington Redskins. His finest season was in 1984, when he picked off 7 passes and had 114 int return yards and scored 2 touchdowns. He appeared in 101 games throughout his career, and finished with 22 interceptions and 2 touchdowns. [2]

The Washington Commanders are a professional American football team based in the Washington metropolitan area. The Commanders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the National Football Conference (NFC) East division. The team plays its home games at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland; its headquarters and training facility are in Ashburn, Virginia. Samuel Adrian Baugh was an American professional football player. During his college and professional careers, he most notably played quarterback, but also played as a safety and punter. He played college football for the TCU Horned Frogs, where he was a two time All-American. He then played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins for 16 seasons from 1937 to 1952. After his playing career, he served as a college coach for the Hardin–Simmons Cowboys before coaching professionally for the New York Titans and the Houston Oilers.
James Donald Haslett is an American football coach and former linebacker who was most recently the head coach of the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL. He played college football for the IUP Crimson Hawks before being drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1979 NFL draft; he went on to be named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
DeAngelo Eugene Hall is an American professional football coach and former player who was a defensive back for 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies and was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the eighth overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft. Hall played half a season for the Oakland Raiders before being released and signed by the Washington Redskins in 2008, playing for them until retiring following the 2017 season. He was a cornerback for the majority of his career before playing at free safety during his last few seasons.
James Arthur Zorn is an American former professional football player and coach. Zorn was a left-handed quarterback, and is best known as the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks for their first eight seasons. He was the quarterback coach for the Seattle Seahawks from 2001 until the 2007 season. Before the 2008 season Zorn was originally hired by the Washington Redskins to serve as offensive coordinator. Two weeks after being hired, he was promoted as the team's head coach.
Cris Edward Dishman is an American football coach and former cornerback. He is the 18th head football coach for Texas Southern University, a position he has held since 2024. He played for the Houston Oilers, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Washington Redskins during his thirteen-year career from 1988 to 2000 in the National Football League (NFL).
The Washington Commanders are a professional American football franchise based in the Washington metropolitan area. They are members of the East division in the National Football Conference (NFC) of the National Football League (NFL). The Commanders were founded in 1932 as the Boston Braves, named after the local baseball franchise. The franchise changed its name the following year to the Redskins and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1937. In 2020, the team retired the Redskins name after longstanding controversies surrounding it and briefly became the Washington Football Team, before choosing the Washington Commanders as their permanent name in 2022.
Reggie Devon Barlow is a former American football player and coach who is currently the head coach for the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL). Barlow served as the head football coach at Alabama State University from 2007 to 2014 and at Virginia State University from 2016 to 2021. He played professionally as wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons, five for the Jacksonville Jaguars, two for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and one with the Oakland Raiders. He was used as a secondary wide receiver and punt returner. In 1997, Barlow led the NFL in punt return yards with 555 yards on 43 returns.
Kurt Keola Gouveia is an American football coach and former linebacker who played 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and one season in the XFL. During his career, he played for the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles (1995), and the San Diego Chargers (1996–1998). In 2001, he also played for the Las Vegas Outlaws in the now-defunct XFL.
Anthony Johnson is a former American football defensive end. He played college football at LSU. During his high school football career at O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Johnson broke the Louisiana career quarterback sack record with 67.5 sacks.
Terence Damian Garvin is an American college football coach and former linebacker. He is the co-defensive coordinator for Florida Memorial University, a position he has held since 2023. He played college football for West Virginia. After going undrafted in 2013, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins, and the San Francisco 49ers, the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), and the St. Louis Battlehawks of the XFL.
Rashad Ahmad Ross is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He played college football at Arizona State University, and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans following the 2013 NFL draft.
Eli Lamar Rogers is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He played college football for the Louisville Cardinals. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2015.
Terrance Plummer is an American football linebacker who is a free agent. He played college football at the University of Central Florida. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2015.
Keenan Reynolds is an American former professional football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Navy Midshipmen as a quarterback, earning third-team All-American honors in 2015. He finished his college career with an NCAA Division I record 88 career touchdowns and an FBS record 4,559 rushing yards by a quarterback. Reynolds currently serves in the United States Navy Reserve with the rank of lieutenant.

Tederal Duralle White is an American football coach and former quarterback. Before coaching, White played for the Frankfurt Galaxy and Barcelona Dragons as part of NFL Europe in the early 2000s. From 2003 to 2005, White was the backup quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League. With both leagues, White had a combined total of 2,568 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
The Arlington Renegades are a professional American football team based in Arlington, Texas. The Renegades compete in the United Football League (UFL). The team was founded as the Dallas Renegades by Vince McMahon's Alpha Entertainment and are owned-and-operated by Dwayne Johnson's Alpha Acquico and Fox Corporation. The Renegades play their home games at Choctaw Stadium. In 2023, The Renegades had a regular season record of 4-6 and were 2-0 in the playoffs, and were crowned XFL Champions. Jalan McClendon is an American professional football quarterback for the DC Defenders of the United Football League (UFL). Initially committing to NC State and serving as a backup quarterback, he played his final year of college football with the Baylor Bears football program. After spending some time in the offseason with both the Baltimore Ravens Washington Redskins, McClendon was selected by the Los Angeles Wildcats, where he backed up Josh Johnson at quarterback, until the cancellation of the 2020 XFL season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
