Dr Rajashree Mallick (born 3 November 1964) is an Indian politician. She was elected to the Lok Sabha,lower house of the Parliament of India from Jagatsinghpur,Odisha in the 2019 Indian general election as a member of the Biju Janata Dal. [2] She was earlier elected to the Legislative Assembly of Odisha from Tirtol in 2014. [3] [4]
The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) is an Indian regional political party with significant influence in the state of Odisha. It was founded by the former minister of mines and minerals of the Republic of India Naveen Patnaik on 26 December 1997 as a breakaway faction from the Janata Dal.
