A ring road is a road or a series of connected roads encircling a town, city or country. The most common purpose of a ring road is to assist in reducing traffic volumes in the urban centre, such as by offering an alternate route around the city for drivers who do not need to stop in the city core. Ring roads can also serve to connect suburbs to each other, allowing efficient travel between them.
A roundabout, a rotary and a traffic circle are types of circular intersection or junction in which road traffic is permitted to flow in one direction around a central island, and priority is typically given to traffic already in the junction.

The Hyderabad Outer Ring Road, officially known as Nehru Outer Ring Road and abbreviated as, H.O.R.R., is a 158-kilometre (98 mi), eight-lane ring road expressway encircling Hyderabad, capital of the Indian state of Telangana. The expressway was designed for speeds up to 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph), later increased to 120 kilometres per hour (75 mph). It runs almost parallel to the Bandar Canal. The National Highway 9 (NH 9) runs parallel to this road on the other side of the Bandar Canal, merging into Bandar Road at Benz Circle. The name "Bandar" was originally the name of Machilipatnam Road, which the current Bandar Road intersects.

The project was undertaken by concessionaire GMR Hyderabad Vijayawada Expressways Private Limited, a subsidiary of GMR Group on a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis. It is one of the busiest expressways in India and is a part of National Highway 65, which connects Machilipatnam to Pune.
Benz Circle Flyover is a flyover spanning the Benz Circle area in Vijayawada, India. The 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi) long flyover is part of the expansion of National Highway 16 and National Highway 65. Planned as a two-phased project, the first phase was inaugurated on 16 October 2020 by Nitin Gadkari. The flyover is expected to be wholly completed by 2022.
