Ranganna is a 1997 Indian Kannada-language romantic action film written and directed by H. Vasu. The film stars Jaggesh as an auto driver, Ranga, who tries to mend the broken relationship of his uncle with the help of Roopa by reuniting him with his stubborn wife who happens to be Roopa's mother. Vijayalakshmi plays Ranga's love interest, Roopa. Srinath, Kavitha, Dheerendra Gopal and Loknath essayed other important roles. Rajesh Ramanath composed the soundtrack whileJ. G. Krishna handled the cinematography.
The film marks the first collaboration of director H. Vasu with music director Rajesh Ramanath and second collaboration with Jaggesh and producer Sa Ra Govindaraju after Bhanda Alla Bahaddur which was released in the same year.
The film received a U certificate from the CBFC without any cuts on 7 October 1997. Sri Ganesh Videos acquired the video rights and released and marketed the film in VCD and DVD formats.
Despite media reports that Jaggesh and Vijayalakshmi, then aged 18-20, broke out into a fight at that time, Vijayalakshmi denied the reports in 2024. [1]

Benkiyalli Aralida Hoovu is a 1983 Indian Kannada language film directed by K. Balachander and produced by Chandulal Jain. It revolves around Kavitha (Suhasini) who wonders when she will have time to live her own life, as she is too busy taking care of her mother, siblings, and her alcoholic brother's family. It was also the official Kannada debut of South Indian refining star of the 80s & 90s eras, Suhasini.
School Master is a 1958 Indian Kannada-language film produced and directed by B. R. Panthulu. The film stars Panthulu himself in the lead role along with Dikki Madhava Rao, M. V. Rajamma, Udaykumar, Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan and B. Saroja Devi in important roles. This was the first Kannada film to complete a silver jubilee. The film had its children's dance drama in Gevacolor, taken by cinematographer W. R. Subba Rao. It was later remade in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi in spite of it being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu as Engal Kudumbam Perisu and Badi Pantulu respectively.

Raghavendra Rajkumar's previous movie Nanjundi Kalyanawas also a comedy with involving many of the same cast and crew.

Mari Kannu Hori Myage also spelled as Maari Kannu Hori Myaage is a 1998 Indian Kannada-language comedy film starring Jaggesh, Archana, Utthara and Dheerendra Gopal. The film written and directed by Kumar was named after a famous track from the Kannada film A released in the same year. The movie humorously deals with the troubles of a man from a middle-class family who becomes the victim of a slight misunderstanding. The film edited by T. Shashikumar has soundtrack scored by Rajesh Ramanath and cinematography handled by Sundarnath Suvarna. The film upon release met with positive reception.
