The manga version is published by Gentosha Comics and is drawn by Kirihito Ayamura. It began serialization in the seinen manga magazine Comic Birz on August 30, 2006. The first tankōbon was released on February 24, 2007, the second one on September 22, 2007, and the third one on March 24, 2008.
Motoko Kumai is a Japanese voice actress employed by 81 Produce. She played Takao Kinomiya in Beyblade and Syaoran Li in Cardcaptor Sakura. From December 21, 2006 to October 2007, she had a hiatus from her career due to an illness requiring medical treatment.

The film is based on the Kokuhaku Jikkō Iinkai ~Ren'ai Series~ Vocaloid song project by HoneyWorks. It was released in Japan by Aniplex on April 23, 2016. The movie is on Crunchyroll until May 28, 2021. A sequel film was released on December 17, 2016 in Japan.
