Kilcock is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Kilcock, County Kildare, Ireland, winner of five Kildare Senior Football Championship: and Kildare club of the year in 1982. Located on the border with County Meath, Kilcock has a long and proud tradition of Gaelic Games. Traditionally Kilcock draws it players from the village itself as well as the surrounding rural areas of Laragh, Ballycaghan, Clonfert and Belgard. Kilcock is the home of Davy Dalton Jr., winner of the 1997 All Stars Award.
Caragh GFC, Prosperous is a Gaelic football club in Prosperous, County Kildare, Republic of Ireland, winner of three county senior football championships and the only club to play in five successive county finals, club of the year 1978 and home club of Larry Stanley, All Ireland medalist in 1919, Olympic athlete in 1924, first winner of the All-Time All-Star award for Gaelic Football and a member of the Kildare team of the millennium. Two of Kildare’s winning All Ireland captains came from the club, Larry Stanley and Mick Buckley. Mick’s grandson Niall played on the 1998 Kildare All Ireland team. Another county senior football title was lost on objection over a player that was "on the run" during the Civil War. Caragh and Raheens share a parish and while the Raheens grounds are in Caragh village, the Caragh grounds are in Prosperous.
The Camogie All Star Awards are awarded each November to 15 players who have made outstanding contributions to the Irish stick and ball team sport of camogie in the 15 traditional positions on the field: goalkeeper, three full backs, three half-backs, two midfields, three half-forwards and three full-forwards. They were awarded for the first time in 2003 as an independent initiative sponsored by a hotel group and accorded official status by the Camogie Association in 2004.
Celbridge is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. They were awarded Kildare GAA club of the year in 2008, winners of the Kildare senior football championship of 2008, finalists in the senior football league of 1923, 1988 and 2008 and won the Kildare senior hurling and camogie championships in 2005. The club has also won several honours at underage levels in all three codes, qualifying for national finals in football, hurling and camogie at the 2008 Féile.

Two Mile House is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in County Kildare, Ireland. The club grounds are located on The Commons, just off the Dunlavin Road. The parish of Two Mile House is surrounded by the towns of Naas, Newbridge and Kilcullen. Two Mile House won the 2014 All Ireland JFC Champions after defeating Fuerty of Roscommon 5-7 to 1-11 on 9 February 2014.
Angela Downey-Browne is a retired Irish sportsperson. She played camogie at various times with her local clubs, St Paul's camogie club based in Kilkenny city and Lisdowney, and was a member of the Kilkenny senior inter-county team from 1970 until 1994. Downey is regarded as the greatest player in the history of the game.
Úna O'Connor was an Irish sportsperson who played senior camogie with Dublin from 1953 until 1975. She is regarded as one of the greatest players of all-time, a member of the team of the century. the first camogie player to win a Caltex award in 1966, and the Gaelic Weekly all-star award winner in 1967.
Joachim Kelly is an Irish hurling manager and former player. He is the manager of the Offaly senior hurling team. Kelly played for club side Lusmagh and was a member of the Offaly senior hurling team for 19 seasons, during which time he usually lined out at midfield.
Elaine Dermody is a camogie player and insurance employee. She won a Soaring Star award in 2009 and won a 2009 All Ireland junior camogie medal. and a 2010 Intermediate Championship. She won an intermediate All-Star camogie medal that year also. With a total of 1-42 she was the second-highest scoring player in the Senior Championship of 2011. In 2013, she won a senior camogie All-Star award, having been selected at full forward.
Mags D’Arcy is a camogie player, double All Star winner, holder of four All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship's 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 & three National League titles in 2009, 2010 and 2011. She has been goalkeeping for the Wexford Senior Camogie Team since 2003 and is regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the game of camogie. Throughout her time at University College Dublin, D'Arcy helped the college bridge a 19-year gap to capture back the Ashbourne Cup for two years on the trot in 2007 and 2008. Her influential on-field presence and leadership was rewarded with an Ashbourne All Star award. The goalkeeper has also had success within the Poc Fada Camogie Championships, capturing the Leinster title on the double in 2008 and 2009, however due to national championship fixture commitments with Wexford, she was unable to participate at National level in 2008 and 2009. D'Arcy, most recently in 2014, captained Leinster to a provincial title in the Senior Gael Linn Cup. Her captaincy came on the back of winning six Leinster Senior Championship's for her county Wexford. In 2017, she captured her first-ever county camogie senior title with St. Martin's when they defeated Rathnure in the county final.
Miriam Malone is a former camogie player, winner of the AIB Gaelic Star Junior Player of the Year award in 1987.
Camogie in County Kildare is administered by the Kildare County Board of the Camogie Association.
The Meath county football team represents Meath in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Meath GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Leinster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League.
