The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is an American organization for female golfers. The organization is headquartered at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida, and is best known for running the LPGA Tour, a series of weekly golf tournaments for elite female professional golfers from around the world.
The Dana Open Presented By Marathon, is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. It was founded 39 years ago in 1984 and has been played yearly, except in 1986 and 2011, in Sylvania, Ohio, a suburb northwest of Toledo. The tournament is televised by Golf Channel.
The Portland Classic is a women's professional golf tournament in Oregon on the LPGA Tour. Founded 51 years ago in 1972, the annual event in the Portland area is the oldest continuous event on the LPGA Tour. Tournament Golf Foundation has owned the tournament since its beginning and also managed the Safeway International tournament on the LPGA Tour. Shanshan Feng is a Chinese former professional golfer who previously played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She was the first player from China to become a member of the LPGA Tour, which she joined in 2008. Feng had 10 victories on the tour, including the 2012 LPGA Championship, a major title, in which she shot a bogey-free 67 in the final round to win by two strokes. She was the first player from China to win an LPGA major championship, as well as the first player from mainland China to have won a major championship. Her best finish in 16 previous majors was a tie for 22nd at the 2012 Kraft Nabisco Championship. With the victory, she moved from tenth to fifth in the Women's World Golf Rankings. On 20 August 2016, Feng won the Olympic bronze medal in women's golf at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. From November 2017 to April 2018, she was first in the Women's World Golf Rankings.

The 2014 Ricoh Women's British Open was played 10–13 July at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. It was the 38th Women's British Open, and the 14th as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. It was the sixth Women's British Open at Royal Birkdale, the most recent was four years earlier in 2010. ESPN and BBC Sport televised the event from Royal Birkdale.
The 2016 KPMG Women's PGA Championship was the 62nd Women's PGA Championship, played June 9–12 at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington, a suburb east of Seattle. Brooke Henderson, 18, won her first major title with a birdie on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff with top-ranked Lydia Ko. It was the second win in a major by a Canadian and the first in 48 years. Henderson and Ko both had bogey-free final rounds with scores of 65 (–6) and 67 (–4), respectively.

The event was televised by Golf Channel and NBC Sports in the United States and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom.
The LPGA Mediheal Championship is a women's professional golf tournament in California on the LPGA Tour. A new event in 2018, it was held at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, an adjacent suburb south of San Francisco. The course hosted the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic for three years 2014–2016). In 2022, the event moved to The Saticoy Club in Somis and will now be played in October instead of May.
