This was head coach Willis Wilson's third season at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi. The Islanders were members of the Southland Conference and played their home games at the American Bank Center and the Dugan Wellness Center. They finished the season 18–16, 14–4 in Southland play to finish in second place. They lost in the semifinals of the Southland Conference tournament to Sam Houston State. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Northern Colorado in the first round before losing in the second round to Pacific.
The Corpus Christi Coastal Classic is a college basketball tournament that started in 2013 played at the American Bank Center played in Corpus Christi, Texas. Each team will play four games, the first two on campus sites and the final two rounds in Corpus Christi. The Semifinals and Finals of Hosts' bracket are televised on CBS Sports Network.
The 2015 Southland Conference baseball tournament was held from May 20 through 23. The top eight regular season finishers of the league's ten teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas. The event returned to Sugar Land as part of a two season contract after one season on campus. The winner of the tournament, Houston Baptist, earns the conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word are ineligible for postseason play as they transition from Division II.

They finished the season 24–12, 12–6 in Southland play to finish in a three-way tie for second place. They defeated Stephen F. Austin to advance to the championship game of the Southland tournament where they lost to New Orleans. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Georgia State, Weber State, Fort Wayne and UMBC to advance to the championship game where they lost to Saint Peter's.

The Islanders were led by head coach Willis Wilson, in his seventh season at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi as members of the Southland Conference. They played their home games at the American Bank Center and the Dugan Wellness Center. They finished the season 11–18, 8–10 in Southland play to finish in a three-way tie for eighth place. Due to tiebreakers, they received the No. 8 seed in the Southland tournament where they lost to New Orleans in the first round.

The Islanders, led by ninth-year head coach Willis Wilson, played their home games at American Bank Center, with three games at the Dugan Wellness Center, both of which are in Corpus Christi, Texas, as members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 14–18, 10–10 in Southland play to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place. They lost in the first round of the Southland tournament to Northwestern State.
The 2019 Southland Conference women's soccer tournament, the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Southland Conference, was held from November 6 to November 10, 2019. The seven-match tournament took place at the Bill Stephens Track/Soccer Complex in Conway, Arkansas. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Abilene Christian Wildcats, but they were unable to defend their title falling in the first round to McNeese State 2–1. The Lamar Cardinals won the tournament, defeating Northwestern State 3–1 in the final. The title was the second overall for the Lamar Cardinals program, both of which have come under head coach Steve Holeman.
