Renegotiations: The Remixes is the first extended play (EP) by American group the Black Eyed Peas. It was released on March 21, 2006, by A&M Records, Interscope Records and will.i.am Music Group. The EP includes alternative versions of non-single tracks from the group's fourth studio album Monkey Business (2005).

Renegotiations: The Remixes received generally favorable reviews from music critics. John Bush from AllMusic praised the EP: "If these [remixes] had appeared on Monkey Business , the album would have been (setting aside "My Humps" and "Don't Phunk with My Heart") one of the best rap records of the year. Perhaps it's better this way, with the pop productions sequestered on Monkey Business and this tight EP the perfect choice for hip-hop fans." [1] J-23 from HipHopDX was also positive towards the EP but was critical of some tracks due to their original versions: "Despite not being able to overcome shortcomings that come via Monkey Business, this EP is dope in places and is at least very respectable in its efforts." [2] Adrian Ruhi from Okayplayer commended the EP, claiming it served as "a statement that they still have their hip-hop sensibilities, despite the fact that some of the originally poppy tracks sound a bit awkward when remixed by old school producers." [3]

The Black Eyed Peas are an American musical group from Los Angeles, composed of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo. The group's lineup during the height of their popularity in the 2000s featured Fergie, who replaced original member Kim Hill in 2002. They have sold an estimated 80 million records, making them one of the best-selling musical acts of all time, and were ranked 12th on Billboard's 2000s Decade-End Artist of the Decade Chart and 7th on the Hot 100 Artists of the Decade.

The song is a hip hop song in which the lyrics, according to will.i.am, tell of a situation between a couple when one tries to end the relationship and the other is in disbelief. It features compositional samples of songs derived from two Bollywood films of the 1970s, Apradh (1972) and Don (1978), as well as interpolations of Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam's 1985 single "I Wonder If I Take You Home" and Gucci Crew II's 1988 single "Sally ", hence earning Kalyanji–Anandji, Indeewar and Full Force songwriting credits. The song was released as the lead single from Monkey Business on April 5, 2005, by A&M Records and Interscope Records.

Chemistry is the first collaborative studio album by American rapper Buckshot and record producer 9th Wonder. It was released on June 21, 2005 through Duck Down Music as a part of the label's "Triple Threat Campaign", preceded by Sean Price's Monkey Barz and followed by Tek & Steele's Smif 'n' Wessun: Reloaded. Recording sessions took place at Missie Ann Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina. Production was handled entirely by 9th Wonder, with Buckshot and Drew "Dru-Ha" Friedman serving as executive producers. Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 is the seventh studio album by American musical group Black Eyed Peas. A political album loosely inspired by the graphic novel of the same name and the contemporary social climate of the United States, it is a departure from The Black Eyed Peas' electronic dance and pop-influenced albums The E.N.D. and The Beginning, marking a return to the group's hip hop and boom bap style of their early career. The album was Black Eyed Peas' first in eight years, and their first recorded as a trio following the departure of Fergie earlier in 2018. The album instead features J. Rey Soul as a collaborator and touring and session member. It is also their first where they are credited as Black Eyed Peas since Bridging the Gap in 2000. Preceded by numerous singles and music videos, Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 was released on October 26, 2018, and it is the last Black Eyed Peas album with longtime label Interscope Records.
