Renis Gjoka (born May 12, 1987) is an Albanian singer and songwriter.
Renis Gjoka was born on May 12, 1987, in Tirana, Albania. [1] Gjoka embarked on his artistic journey by initially studying the violin for eight years and later venturing into singing. He began his career on the stage of Top Fest in 2004, when he was 17 years old, as part of the rock group Burn. [2]
Over the course of a decade, Gjoka produced hits "Ajo", "Dashuria ime ti", "Sot", "I'a mbathim bashke" and "Superstar", all songs acclaimed with numerous awards in music competitions. He participated in the 52nd edition of Festivali i Kenges with the song "Mjegulla". [3] [4] [5]
Collaborations with Aleksandër Gjoka have included the songs "I njëjti do të mbetem" and "Jam i pari i jetes time" as part of rock group Burn. [6] [7]
In 2012, Gjoka unveiled the song "Une dhe Gogoli", a poignant critically acclaimed composition that explores the perspective of an autistic boy who perceives reality in a unique and distinct manner. The writer Edmond Tupja, whose son is affected by autism, penned the lyrics of the song. [8] [9] [10]
In 2016, Gjoka emerged triumphant representing Albania in the Balkanic Rock Music Festival held in Bulgaria securing the 1st prize at the festival. The accomplishment comes on the heels of his participation in the International music festival "New Music," also hosted in Bulgaria. [11]
In 2023, Gjoka started a podcast called "Garage Lock", a collaboration with fellow rock vocalist Eugent Bushpepa. The duo delves into the world of spoken dialogue and candid conversations engaging with guests from various walks of life. [12] The two artists have joined forces on various musical projects, among them "Rezisto", a track chosen as the official campaign song for the 2023 Albanian local elections by the Together We Win coalition. Anjeza Shahini is an Albanian singer. She is best known for being the first representative of Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004, after winning the 42nd edition of Festivali i Këngës.

Pirro Çako is an Albanian singer and composer. In 1988, he won the Festivali i Këngës as a composer with the song E duam lumturinë. The song was interpreted by Parashqevi Simaku. He has issued two albums: Herët a vonë in June 2004 and including 15 songs, and more recently, a second album, Mos më krahaso, a set of 12 songs. In a collaboration with composer Ardit Gjebrea, Çako wrote the song It's All About You, interpreted by Juliana Pasha for the Albanian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010.

"Me tana" is a song by Albanian singer and songwriter Elvana Gjata released as a single on 10 December 2019 by East Music Matters (EMM). The song was written and composed by Gjata herself and produced by German-Greek producer UNIK. It was organised by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) in an open-air venue at the Sheshi Italia in Tirana, Albania, and consisted of two semi-finals on 21 and 22 December, respectively, and the final on 23 December 2020. The three live shows were hosted by Jonida Vokshi and Blendi Salaj. Due to the pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the competition did not use the traditional symphonic orchestra and was not held as in the traditional location of the Pallati i Kongreseve but at the Sheshi Italia instead. Anxhela Peristeri with "Karma" emerged as the winner of the contest and represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Festivali i Këngës 2023 was the 62nd edition of the annual Albanian music competition Festivali i Këngës, organised by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH). It was held between 19 and 22 December 2023 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, and it was hosted by Adriana Matoshi and Kledi Kadiu with Xhuliano Dule and Krisa Çaushi. The winner was Mal Retkoceri with "Çmendur". For the second year in a row, a separate televoting determined which contestant would represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, whereby Besa Kokëdhima with "Zemrën n'dorë" emerged as the winner.
