Elai (born 4 March 1999) is an Albanian rapper, producer and songwriter.

Life and career

1999–present: Early life and career beginnings

Elai was born on 14 January 1999 into an Albanian family from Mitrovica. [1] [2] His singles, "Paranormal" and "Lale", occurred within the Albanian Top 100 in October 2021 and reached the top 10, respectively, although "Lale" continued its success abroad and peaked at number 88 in Switzerland. [3] [4] In the same year, Elai contributed credited songwriting to Albanian rapper Noizy's "Një herë e mirë". [5] As of September 2021, his upcoming debut studio album is under development. [6] Released in June 2021, "Nokia" peaked at number 32 on the native Top 100 after entering the chart in early November 2021. [7] Elai was nominated for Producer of the Year at the 2022 Grammis in Sweden. [8]

Simaku participated in Festivali i Këngës in 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1990. In 2006 she signed a contract with Sony and BMG for her Albanian-language CD entitled Echoes from Iliria. Simaku has an Aromanian background.

It lyrically delves on the strength to get up also exploring empowerment and motivational themes. An official music video was uploaded simultaneously with the single's release onto YouTube. "Sekret" is a song by Albanian singer-songwriter Ronela Hajati. It was written by Hajati herself and produced by Marko Polo. Musically, it is an Albanian-language upbeat "ethno" pop song with folk instrumentation included in its instrumentation that tells the tale of a forbidden relationship and Hajati's "intense longing for the sexual desire of her love interest to be fulfilled." Originally released as a single on 5 March 2022, it represented Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, after winning the 60th edition of Festivali i Këngës in December 2021.

<i>Lamboziki</i> 2022 studio album by Mozzik

Lamboziki is the second studio album recorded by Kosovo-Albanian rapper Mozzik. It was released for digital download and streaming on 13 February 2022 by 2 Euro Gang and Urban as a follow-up to Mozzart (2020). Lasting for 43 minutes and 35 seconds across 14 songs, the rapper extensively collaborated with Kosovo-Albanian producers Pellumb and Rzon on the record. It was classified as a hip hop, pop and R&B album, comprising songs performed mainly in Albanian with limited lines in English, French, and German. Upon release, Lamboziki saw a moderate commercial success, reaching number 42 in Switzerland. Three singles released throughout October 2021 to January 2022 preceded the record, including "Bonjour Madame" featuring Noizy, "Shko" and "Ska" with Elvana Gjata. The former three were all accompanied by music videos and entered the single charts in Albania and Switzerland.
