History
Resurrection High School was founded by the Sisters of the Resurrection, a Catholic religious order. [4] Sister Anne Strzelecka C.R. arrived in Chicago on February 2, 1900, to work with students in Catholic schools. In 1912, Sister Anne bought a tract of land in northwest Chicago and three years later opened Resurrection Academy as an elementary school and boarding school for girls. In 1920, Sister Anne bought the 52-acre (210,000 m2) Anderson onion farm and skating pond where Resurrection Medical Center now stands. Resurrection High School was established in 1922. [5] In 1922, she opened the doors to Resurrection High School in what is now the Provincial Home. Four years later, the first graduating class consisted of four young women, one of whom went on to become a successful attorney as well as a mother and grandmother of future Resites. After 40 years of growth, Resurrection High School opened its doors in 1962 in a new, much larger building. In 1997, an $11 million construction program added two state of the art science and computer labs, a technology center with internet capabilities, a 36-station fitness center, as well as air conditioning throughout the facility. Resurrection High School counts more than 12,000 alumnae in 83 graduating classes. [6]
The school closed temporarily on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, after officials learned that a person at the school had been exposed to the COVID-19 virus. [7]

Walter Payton College Preparatory High School (WPCP) is a public four-year magnet high school located in the Old Town neighborhood on the near–north side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. Opened in 2000, Payton is operated by the Chicago Public Schools district. The school is named for Walter Payton, African-American football player for the Chicago Bears and humanitarian. Since 2019, Payton has been ranked the No. 1 public high school in the State of Illinois, and No. 4 in the United States, by U.S. News & World Report.
Reitz Memorial High School or simply Memorial High School (MHS) is an inter-parochial Catholic high school on the east side of Evansville, Indiana. It sits on land bought with money donated by Francis Joseph Reitz in 1922 in memory of his parents, John Augustus and Gertrude Reitz. The school officially opened its doors on January 5, 1925. It is part of the Diocese of Evansville.

St. Ursula Academy, located in the East Walnut Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a Catholic college-preparatory high school for young women that offers an intensive four-year program in the fields of English, mathematics, science, social studies, French, Spanish, Latin, and religion. An entrance test is required of all prospective freshmen students. Academic scholarships are also based on the results of this test. The school's Educational Services Program (ESP) assists girls with learning disabilities.

Mother of Mercy High School was an all-girls Catholic, private high school in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was one of almost 40 Sisters of Mercy secondary schools in the United States and also a Blue Ribbon School. It opened in 1915 and in 2018 merged with another Sisters of Mercy school, McAuley High School, due to lacking enrollment numbers at both schools. The merged school, Mercy McAuley High School, opened at what was the McAuley campus in fall 2018.
Montini Catholic High School is a co-educational, college preparatory, high school, run by the Christian Brothers in Lombard, Illinois. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet in Illinois. The school was planned by the Christian Brothers in 1963. Pope Paul VI, whose name was Giovanni Battista Montini, was elected to the Papacy that same year. In his honor, the Christian Brothers named the school Montini Catholic High School. Construction of the buildings took place in 1965 and 1966. In September 1966, Montini Catholic High school opened its doors to 217 freshmen. The first commencement exercises were held on June 1, 1970.
Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart is a private, Roman Catholic girls' high school in Lake Forest, Illinois, north of Chicago. Founded by the Society of the Sacred Heart, it is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago but is run by lay staff with several Sisters sitting on the Board of Trustees.

IC Catholic Prep (ICCP) is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Elmhurst, Illinois, and located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet in Illinois. When opened in 1936, it was the only co-educational secondary institution in DuPage County. The Sisters of St. Agnes have offered a curriculum incorporating a college prep focus since its founding. It is the oldest Catholic, coeducational high school in DuPage County, Illinois. It is also the only parish-based high school in DuPage County.
Benedictine Sisters of Chicago is a Roman Catholic Benedictine congregation of women. It was founded in 1861 by three sisters of the Benedictine congregation of Mount St. Benedict Monastery in Erie, Pennsylvania, who came to Chicago to teach the German-speaking children of St. Joseph's parish. They became an independent congregation in 1872. St. Scholastica's Monastery in Rogers Park, Chicago is the Motherhouse. St. Scholastica Academy was an integral part of the sisters' ministry in Chicago.

The Congregation of the Sisters of the Resurrection was founded in Rome, Italy, in 1891 by a widow, Celine Borzecka, and her daughter, Hedwig Borzecka. This was the first time in the history of the Roman Catholic Church that a religious institute of women was founded jointly by a mother and daughter.
