Ritwick Chakraborty is an Indian film actor who predominantly works in Bengali cinema. [1] [2] He made his debut with Pagal Premi in 2007.

Career

Chakraborty was associated with Bengali theatre from a very early age. As he grew older he became passionate about acting. After his initial struggle in the Bengali film industry he worked in a few television serials and telefilms. He debuted in the film Pagol Premi. [3] After which, he appeared in Anjan Dutt's cult film Chalo Let's Go , alongside in 2008, followed by Cross Connection with Rimjhim Mitra, Abir Chatterjee and Payel Sarkar, and Raj Chakraborty's Le Chakka , playing the second lead alongside Dev in 2010. He appeared in six films in 2013, and for Shabdo he won the Filmfare East Best Actor's award in 2014. Chakraborty also produced a 2021 Bengali web series named Birohi. [4]

F.I.R No. 339/07/06 is a 2021 Indian Bengali-language crime thriller film written and directed by Joydip Mukherjee. The film stars Ankush Hazra, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Bonny Sengupta, Falaque Rashid Roy and Shantilal Mukherjee in the lead roles. The film was released on 10 October 2021 coinciding with the Puja holidays. The film premiered on ZEE5 on 22 October 2021, 12 days after the release.

He also played the character Jatayu in a web series directed by Srijit Mukherji.
