Robert Douglas Hellstrom (born 9 November 1977) is a New Zealand rower.
Hellstrom was born in 1977 in Palmerston North, New Zealand. [1] He is a member of Horowhenua Rowing Club. [2] He represented New Zealand at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He is listed as New Zealand Olympian athlete number 794 by the New Zealand Olympic Committee. [3] He lives in Picton. [1]
Alexander Mahé Owens Drysdale is a retired New Zealand rower. Drysdale is a two-time Olympic champion and a five-time world champion in the single sculls. He is a seven-time New Zealand national champion and five-time recipient of New Zealand Sportsman of the Year.
Ivan Carl Sutherland is a former New Zealand rower who won an Olympic bronze medal. At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, he crewed the eight along Tony Hurt, Alec McLean, Trevor Coker, Peter Dignan, Lindsay Wilson, Joe Earl and Dave Rodger and Simon Dickie (cox). The 1977 World Rowing Championships saw Sutherland win silver in the coxless four with Des Lock, David Lindstrom and Dave Rodger under new coach Harry Mahon. Sutherland was also the rowing team manager for New Zealand at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. He was subsequently a national rowing selector.
