Robert John Kennedy (born 3 June 1972) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played in four Test matches and seven One Day Internationals for New Zealand in 1996.
Kennedy was born at Dunedin in 1972 and was educated at Otago Boys' High School in the city. [1] After playing age-group cricket for the province,he made his senior representative debut for Otago during the 1993–94 season. [2]
A tall fast bowler,Kennedy's ability to "bowl line and length" and to get the ball to move both into and away from the batsman saw him selected for New Zealand Academy matches during the 1995–96 season and he was selected for the Test team to play against the touring Zimbabweans in January 1996. [3] His best international figures of 3/28 came on Test debut,and although he was selected in the 1996 Cricket World Cup squad, [3] Wisden considered that he "seemed out of his depth for much of the international season". [4] He toured the West Indies with New Zealand later in the year,playing in both of the Test matches on the tour,and played in two of the three ODIs on the tour of Pakistan at the end of the year,but fell out of the side and made all 11 of his international appearances during 1996. [3]
Kennedy moved to play for Wellington ahead of the 1998–99 season,playing in the capital for two seasons [2] before he "drifted out of the game". [3]

Kenneth Robert Rutherford is a former New Zealand cricketer who enjoyed a ten-year career with the national team,and was captain for a period in the 1990s. He is the 50th ODI cap for New Zealand.

John Chaloner Alabaster is a former cricketer who played 21 Test matches for New Zealand between 1955 and 1972. A leg-spin bowler,he was the only New Zealander to play in each of the country's first four Test victories. In domestic cricket,he was often partnered at the crease for his provincial side Otago by his younger brother Gren,who bowled off-spin. A schoolteacher,he later served as Rector of Southland Boys' High School in Invercargill.
Denis Andrew Robert "Sonny" Moloney was a New Zealand cricketer who played three Test matches on New Zealand's 1937 tour of England. He died of his wounds after being captured at the First Battle of El Alamein during the Second World War.
Aaron James Redmond is a former New Zealand international cricketer. He was a member of the Otago cricket team for ten seasons,having previously played for Canterbury. Redmond played as a right-handed batsman. He made eight Test match,six One Day International and seven Twenty20 International appearances for the New Zealand national cricket team between 2008 and 2013.
Neil Trevor Broom is a New Zealand former international cricketer. He played domestic cricket for Otago and Canterbury and in England for Derbyshire County Cricket Club. After making his One Day International debut in 2009,Broom was recalled to the squad in 2017 following a successful domestic season,and made his Test debut. He played two Test matches,39 One Day Internationals and 11 Twenty20 Internationals for the national side.
