Dion Joseph Nash (born 20 November 1971) is a New Zealand entrepreneur and former international cricketer. He played for the New Zealand national cricket team,captaining the team in 1999 with the injury of regular captain Stephen Fleming. Nash was a right-arm fast medium bowler,taking 93 Test wickets in a career spanning from 1992 to 2001. He became the first player in history to take ten wickets and score 50 runs in a match at the Lord's ground in 1994. [1]
On the 1995 tour to South Africa,Nash was suspended for smoking cannabis along with future captain Stephen Fleming and team-mate Matthew Hart. [2]
In June 2005,Nash was named as one of the national selectors. In 2008 he became a batsman/bowler for the official New Zealand Beach Cricket Team.
Nash also played Australian rules football in the Auckland Australian Football League,where he was a premiership player with the Mt Roskill Saints. [3]
After retiring from cricket,Nash was a salesman for spring water brand 420. He held a 25% stake in the business before Bacardi bought the parent vodka brand 42 Below. He then founded skincare brand Triumph &Disaster in 2011, [4] exploiting a lack of moisturisers aimed at men. [5]
Nash attended Dargaville High School before completing his final year of school as a boarder at Auckland Grammar.
In March 2003,he married Bernice Mene,a former New Zealand netball international. Together they have three children. [6] [7] [8] [9]
Stephen Paul Fleming is a New Zealand coach and former international cricketer. He was a left-handed opening batter and an occasional right arm slow medium bowler. He is New Zealand's second-most capped Test cricketer with 111 appearances. He is also the team's longest-serving and most successful captain with 28 test victories and lead the team to win the 2000 ICC KnockOut Trophy,the team's first ICC trophy. Fleming captained New Zealand in the first ever Twenty20 International against Australia in 2005.
Daniel Luca Vettori is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer who played for the New Zealand national cricket team. He was the 200th player to win their Test cricket cap for New Zealand. He is currently an assistant coach of the Australia men's national cricket team.

Kyle David Mills is a New Zealand cricket coach and former international cricketer who is the former bowling coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders. He was also a former captain of the New Zealand cricket team in limited-overs matches. Mills played top-class cricket between 1998 and 2015 as a bowler. He featured in three World Cup tournaments for New Zealand in 2003,2011 and 2015. He was a member of New Zealand's first ever T20I team. He also topped the ICC ODI bowling rankings in 2009 and also occupied in the top ten bowling rankings among bowlers in ODI cricket for a considerable period of time. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Kerry Peter Walmsley is a New Zealand former international cricketer. He played three Test matches and two One Day Internationals for the national side between 1995 and 2003 as a fast bowler. In domestic cricket Walmsley played for Auckland from the 1994–95 season until 1999–2000,Otago from 2000–01 to 2002–03,and Auckland again from 2003–04 to 2005–06.

Todd Duncan Astle is a former New Zealand cricketer who played for the New Zealand national cricket team. Astle began his cricket career as an opening batsman,representing New Zealand in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup,but over time playing first-class cricket for Canterbury,he morphed into a bowling all-rounder. He made his Test cricket debut for New Zealand in 2012 in Sri Lanka,but did not play another international match until 2015. He represented New Zealand in all three forms of the game,but was unable to keep a consistent place in the team in any format because of regular injury problems and competition with other spin bowlers. In January 2020,Astle retired from first-class cricket to focus on limited-overs cricket. In February 2023 he retired from all forms of professional cricket.
Timothy Grant Southee,is a New Zealand international cricketer who plays for New Zealand cricket team in all formats of the game,captain in Tests and vice captain in T20Is. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a hard-hitting lower order batsman. The third New Zealand bowler to take 300 Test wickets,he was one of the country's youngest cricketers,debuting at the age of 19 in February 2008. On his Test debut against England he took 5 wickets and made 77 off 40 balls in the second innings. He plays for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield,Ford Trophy and Super Smash as well as Northland in the Hawke Cup. He was named as New Zealand's captain for the first T20I against West Indies in place of Kane Williamson,who was rested for that game. The Blackcaps won that match by 47 runs. Southee was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. Southee currently has the highest (international) test batting strike rate among the batsmen with a minimum of 2000 test runs. His (batting) career strike rate is 83.12. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Ellerslie Cricket Club (inc.) was formed in 1922 at a location known as Michaels Avenue Reserve,Auckland. The club has had some well-known players come to play for them in the past. Some include Ole Mortensen and English Internationals,Devon Malcolm and Wilf Slack. The home-grown legends include Bill "Chook" Fowler,Martin Pringle and umpire Barry Frost.
Adine Rachel Wilson is a former New Zealand netball international and current commentator. Between 1999 and 2007,Wilson made 79 senior appearances for New Zealand. She represented New Zealand at the 1999 and the 2003 World Netball Championships,winning a gold medal at the latter. She captained New Zealand when they won gold at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and again at the 2007 World Netball Championships. During the Coca-Cola Cup/National Bank Cup era,she played for Otago Rebels and Southern Sting. During the early ANZ Championship era,she captained Southern Steel. She was a member of six premiership winning teams –the 1998 Otago Rebels team and the 2001,2002,2003,2004 and 2007 Southern Sting teams. In 2022,she was included on a list of the 25 best players to feature in netball leagues in New Zealand since 1998.
The Bangladesh cricket team toured New Zealand between 19 December 2007 and 16 January 2008 to play three one day internationals (ODIs) and two Test matches. This was the second Bangladeshi tour to New Zealand and the third series between the two countries following New Zealand's 2004–05 tour to Bangladesh. The teams also met in the pool stage of the 2003 Cricket World Cup and at the Super 8 stage of the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
Bernice Papasina Mene is a former New Zealand netball international. Between 1992 and 2001,Mene made 76 senior appearances for New Zealand. She represented New Zealand at the 1993 World Games,the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the 1995 and 1999 World Netball Championships. She captained New Zealand during 2000 and 2001 seasons. Trent Alexander Boult is a New Zealand international cricketer who represents the New Zealand cricket team in all formats. He also plays in various T20 leagues around the globe as a fast bowler. He is regarded to be one of the best bowlers of all time and is known for his exploits with the new ball in limited overs cricket. Boult was a key member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. He was also a part of the New Zealand squad to finish as runners-up at the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
Douglas Andrew John Bracewell is an international New Zealand cricketer who currently plays for Central Districts. He is a right-handed batsman and bowls right-arm fast-medium pace.
