Overview

The main twist this season was that the contestants were to be divided up into tribes based on the results of an IQ test they took before the show. The season began with four players exiting in episode 1, only one of which was eliminated. The first of these four was Jesper Hansen, who was evacuated due to medical reasons before the tribes were formed. Then siblings Michael Kristiansen and Sascha Kristiansen both refused to compete in the first immunity challenge and decided to leave the show shortly after it concluded.

Beginning with the elimination of Andrew Prasana in episode 3 to the merge, all contestants voted out of the game were sent to "Utopia", where following the merge, they would compete to return to the game. In another twist, a joker, Maureen Cruz, entered the game in episode 5 to replace the mole Gerard "Anders" Hansen, who had been ejected from the game in episode 4 as the end of the first part of the mole twist. Another twist that took place in episode 5 was that the tribes were shuffled and given new names (Mensirip and Tenga). Another twist that took place in episode 5 was that of the replacement mole. The producers asked each contestant if they wanted to be the new mole and out of those who said yes the producers chose to make Ditte Jensen the new mole. As part of this new twist, only Ditte was allowed to vote at the next tribal council.

Prior to the merge in episode 7, the remaining twelve contestants took part in a challenge to determine who would make the merge. Ultimately, Kim Duelund and Mira Thomsen lost the challenge and were eliminated. In episode 8, Ditte, like the first mole Anders, was ejected from the game. In episode 9, instead of a tribal council, five of the contestants took place in an elimination challenge. Jan Andersem lost the challenge and was eliminated from the game. In episode 10, Rasmus had to be evacuated from the game after collapsing from exhaustion. Shortly after Jan's evacuation, the remaining contestants took part in an elimination challenge. Sandra Adelheid lost the challenge and was eliminated from the game. In episode 11, the contestants competed in another elimination challenge. Villy Eenberg lost the challenge and was sent to utopia. Eileen Pehrsson, who was voted out in the same episode, also was sent to utopia.

In the final episode of the season, the remaining contestants in utopia took part in a final duel which Villy won. The final five then competed in a series of challenges which ultimately led to the elimination of Andrew and Søren Petersen. Ultimately, it was Villy Eenberg, who had been eliminated twice throughout the competition, who won the season over Maureen Cruz and Nicolai Karlson by winning the final challenge.

Expedition Robinson 2000, was the fourth edition of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2000. For the first time since season one when a tribe lost an immunity challenge it was up to that tribe to vote out one of their members.

Expedition Robinson: 2005, was the ninth version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2005. The major twist this season was that the contestants were divided into tribes based on their annual salaries, with the North team being the "rich" team and the South team being the "poor" team. Another twist was that of the change in voting format, all contestants were given thirteen votes that they could use at any time and in any amount. Robert Drakwind, formerly known as Robert Andersson, returned to compete for a third time since 1999 along with his girlfriend, Anna Carin Wase. Both were "jokers" and did not enter the competition until episode 3. Both jokers became "chiefs" of one of the tribes and were given immunity at all pre-merge tribal councils, however from episode 4 on they could be challenged by any member of their tribe for the position of chief. If challenged, the chief and challenger would face off in a duel in which the winner would become chief and the loser would be eliminated from the competition. The final twist of the season was that of the "Finalist Island". Introduced in a challenge immediately preceding the merge, contestants would compete in a series of duels in which the winner would earn a spot on Finalist Island. The two contestants left on Finalist Island when only seven contestants were left would have immunity until the final four, while the remaining five contestants not on the island would have to compete for the two remaining spots. Karolina and Max were the last two contestants on Finalist Island. Ultimately, Karolina Conrad went on to win the season with a jury vote of 6–5 over Max Stjernfelt.

Expedition Robinson 2003, was the seventh version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2003. Along with the twenty four official contestants, there was a twenty fifth contestant, Hildegard Krebbs who was forced to leave the competition in its pre-production stage. As this season was initially thought to be the show's last, the major twist for season was that it was to be an "Allstars" theme in which a tribe of former contestants known as the "Veterans", would take on a team of newcomers known as the "Challengers". Another twist was added midway through the pre-merge stage of the competition, a pair twist. As part of the pair twist the contestants were grouped, competed, and voted out in pairs, however following their initial elimination the two members of the pair would compete in a duel, the winner of which would stay secluded from most of the other contestants on an island, known as "Utopia", in order to compete in a series of duels to re-enter the competition. Throughout the post-merge duration of the game, contestants, both in the game and in Utopia, would continuously swap locations based on challenge results. As a final twist eight more votes would be distributed among the two finalists based on the percent they received in a public poll. In the end, Emma Andersson won the season with a jury vote of 11–5 over Mille Lansburgh. Andersson received six of the eight public votes having garnered seventy five percent of the vote.

Expedition Robinson 2004, was the eighth season of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired starting on 13 September 2004 airing four episodes a week and was broadcast until 4 December 2004.

Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2008 was the eighth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, and it premiered on 5 September 2008 and aired until 5 December 2008. The major twist in season eight was the "Heaven and Hell" living areas that the tribes lived in. The North team won the first immunity challenge and earned the right to live in "Heaven", which included huts and beds, while the losers, South team, were forced to live in a bat cave. The season is also remembered for the high amount of contestants to leave the show either voluntarily or in an evacuation. Throughout the season, there were several minor twists put into place such as the elimination duel between Manuel and Susanne in episode 2 and the double elimination the South team faced when they chose to through a challenge in order to eliminate a team member. The biggest twist of all occurred when the teams merged. At the time of the merge there were only seven original contestants left in the tribe, however due to the amount of contestants who left early, three reserves entered. Preceding the merge was an elimination challenge which George Stephen Vaz lost, however it was later revealed that this was not a real elimination challenge and that he could earn a spot back in the game if he won it against the contestant of his choice. Vaz chose Hege Reime as his opponent and won the duel. Unlike in most years, instead of there being a final four there was a final three that faced off in a challenge to determine who would face the jury. Ultimately, it was Tom Tveitan who won the season over Britt Carin Jonassen with an unknown jury vote.

Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2009, was the ninth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on 6 September 2009 and aired until 6 December 2009. The major twist this season was that of Team X, a team of contestants that had previously been eliminated. The formation of Team X started with a fake elimination of two players in a challenge in episode one. Two more players were fake eliminated in episode one when both tribe leaders were told that they had to choose one member of their tribe to eliminate. In episode 3, Peder was fake eliminated in a duel against Kristoffer. Following the duel Kristoffer swapped tribes. The final two members of Team X joined when in episode 4 Team X competed in a challenge against North team and South team. North team finished last in the challenge and as a result was eliminated, however, Team X was told that they could save one member of the North team from elimination. Team X chose to save Iris, which meant that she then became part of Team X. Severin also became part of Team X as the North team decided to give him immunity before the challenge. From episode 5 until the merge, South team and Team X competed in challenges against each other. Following the merge, Peder was ejected from the game for faking an injury. As the game progressed, the original South team members began to pick off what was left of Team X until only South team members remained in the game. Like the season that preceded it, this season had a final three instead of a final four. The last three players faced off in two challenges in order to determine the finalists. Ultimately, it was Lina Iversen who won the season over Christian Flotvik with a jury vote of 5-2.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2003 was the sixth season of the Danish versions of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 1, 2003 and aired until December 1, 2003. This season was the last to be hosted by the original host of the show, Thomas Mygind. The first twist this season was that two players were to be eliminated on the first day. The first contestant to be eliminated was Lajla Wöhliche Wammen, who was the last person to reach the cage. The second elimination occurred when Anette Kure became the first person to leave the cage. Along with this, this season each team had a chief. The person who was chief was immune at all tribal councils, however, if someone challenged the chief to a duel and the chief lost they would be eliminated and their challenger would become the new chief. A tribal swap in episode 4, saw the creation of new teams as well as the entrance of jokers Ditte Happel and Marinela Malisic into the game. The major twist season was that of "Utopia". When a contestant was eliminated instead of being eliminated, they were sent to Utopia to compete in a duel that would take place when the final three had been decided. When the final three had been decided, twelve eliminated players faced off in a duel in which half were eliminated. The remaining six were then cut down to three when the final three were asked to each select one that they'd like to see return to the game. Those three then competed against the finalists in plank to determine if any of them would return to the game. Ultimately, Hans Helgren won and returned to the game. Another twist was that of the four jokers, David Camacho, Ditte Happel, Mogens Eckert, and Marinela Malisic, who all entered the game at different times during the season. Ultimately, it was Frank Quistgaard who won the season over Rie Pedersen and Marinela Malisic with a jury vote of 7–0–0.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2006 was the ninth season of the Danish versions of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 4, 2006 and aired until November 21, 2006. The main twist this season was that every contestant was a well-known athlete in a sport. Along with this twist, this season contestants would not be eliminated by the result of tribal council voting, but by the result of duels between two contestants from the same tribe. This means that this season following the vote at tribal council, the voted-out player would pick one of their fellow tribe member to face off with in a duel to determine which would stay in the game. Once the two tribes merged, the twist of "Utopia" returned to the game. In Utopia all eliminated players would compete in a series of duels in order to earn a spot in the final four. Nicole Sydbøge won the final duel and returned to the game. In a final twist, there was no jury this season; instead in order to keep with the athletic theme of the season the final four competed in a series of challenges in order to determine a winner. In the end, it was Diego Tur who won the season over Denise Dupont after winning the final challenge.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2008 was the eleventh season of the Danish versions of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 1, 2008 and aired until November 24, 2008. The main twist this season was that every contestant was either a fan of Robinson or was a former contestant on the show Paradise Hotel. The fan tribe was called "Tenga", while the Paradise tribe was called "Sembilang". There were many additional twists this season, the first taking place in episode 1 when all of the contestants were made to take part in an elimination challenge. Mirja Østergaard lost the challenge and was immediately eliminated. The next twist took place in episode 2 when Jan Novaa, who had been voted out in episode one, returned to the game. The next twist took place in episode 3 when Emil Debski swapped tribes in order to even up the tribe numbers. In episode 4 a larger tribal swap took place in which Jan Novaa, Mads Jensen, and Michelle Jensen swapped from the Sembilang tribe to the Tenga tribe and Emil Debski, Hilde Austad, Martin Persson, Chiro "Sido" Kiarie swapped from the Tenga tribe to the Sembilang tribe. The next twist came in episode 5 when jokers Laila Neilsen and Nick Zitouni entered the game with Laila joining the Sembilang tribe and Nick joining the Tenga tribe. In episode 6 an individual challenge took place in which the winner would be allowed to eliminate a player from the opposing tribe. Haider Mohamad won the challenge and chose to eliminate Sheila Nymann. Immediately following the merge in episode 7, Haider won the same type of challenge and chose to eliminate Karina Strunge from the game. The next twist came in episode 10 when contestant Hilde Austad used the "Talisman" she had to void any votes cast against her in tribal council. This led to the elimination of Laila Neilsen who had the second most votes. When it came time for the final four, the remaining contestants competed in two challenges. The winners of these challenges would earn the right to eliminate one of the losers. Emil won the first challenge and chose to eliminate Martin and Daniela won the second challenge and chose to eliminate Emil. Ultimately, it was Daniela Hansen from Paradise Hotel 2006 who won the season over Robinson fan Hilde Austad by a tiebreaking cointoss after the jury vote ended in a 4-4 tie.

Expeditie Robinson: 2003, was the fourth Dutch/Belgian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries. This season began airing on September 13, 2003 and concluded on December 6, 2003. The major twist this season was that the team tribes were divided up by gender with the Timo tribe initially being composed of seven males and one female, while the Pantai tribe was composed of seven females and one male. As the only member of their gender on their respective tribes, Björn Lemeire and Fatima Aboulouafa were made leaders of their tribes and given immunity at their tribes first tribal council. A shocking discovery was made in episode 4 when Fatima was forced to leave the competition as it had been discovered that she was four months pregnant. In the same episode a tribal swap took place in which Giovani Oosters and Judge Chambliss from the Pantai tribe and Jutta Borms and Karen Vanautgaerden swapped tribes. In episode 7, the two tribes merged into a new tribe called Kelapa. Another twist occurred in episode 7 when following the merge and Karen's elimination, she was told that instead of just being eliminated all eliminated from then on would face off at "Devils Island", where they would take part in a series of duels. The winner of the final duel would then re-enter the game at the final three. The winner of the final duel was Ilona Laan. Ultimately, it was Jutta Borms from Belgium who won the season over Judge Chambliss from the Netherlands with an initial jury vote of 4-4, which was eventually broken by a public jury vote in which the public voted in favor of making Jutta the winner with 66% of the vote.

Expeditie Robinson: 2004, was the fifth Dutch/Belgian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries. This season began airing on September 5, 2004 and concluded on November 28, 2004. The major twist this season was that the team tribes were divided up by participants country of origin with one tribe, België (Belgium), being composed of contestants from Belgium and one tribe, Nederlands (Netherlands), being composed of contestants from the Netherlands. Another major twist this season came to light in episode 1, when after an initial elimination challenge the two eliminated contestants, Erestine Schweig and Sarah Bleecker, were told that instead of being eliminated they were going to live in an area known as the "Mangrove". From then on, any contestant that either lost a challenge or voted out were sent to the Mangrove. Throughout the competition many contestants living in the Mangrove were given opportunities to re-enter the game, however it was not until episode 9, when the contestants living in the Mangrove won a challenge against the merge tribe, known as Teluk, in order to re-enter the game. Another twist that occurred this season was that of a tribal swap which took place in episode 4. Following the Mangrove contestants return to the game, a power struggle ensued between the Belgian and Dutch contestants. Ultimately, it was Belgian contestant Frank Meulder who won the season over fellow Belgian Matthias Verscheure with an overwhelming majority jury vote of 10-2. Like the previous season, the public was asked to vote in case of a tie. The public, like most of the jury, voted in favor of Frank.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2010 was the thirteenth season of the Danish version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 6, 2010. The major twist this season is that the contestants have been divided into tribes with half of each tribe being "Masters" and the other half being "Slaves". The contestants individual statuses were determined in a challenge they took part in before they were divided into tribes. The twelve members of each gender competed in a challenge against each other with the five winners being the masters of their tribe and each getting to pick one of the seven challenge losers from the other tribe as their slave. Through the slave selection process four contestants, Anja Balle, Gitte Behrendt, Vincent Muir, and Hector Nielsen, were eliminated and sent to "Utopia" to compete against each other as well as future eliminated contestants in order to earn a spot back in the game. Following the elimination, the "Tenga" and "Minang" tribes were formed with the Minang tribe being composed of the female winners and their slaves and the Tenga tribe of the male winners and their slaves. In episode 2, a tribal swap took place in which most of the contestants swapped tribes. In episode 3, no elimination took place due to Ali Ghiace's voluntary exit. Also in episode 3, it was revealed that, like last year, there is a mole competing in the game. With this news came that of the mole being the only person eligible to vote for two people at the third tribal council. In episode 5, both tribes competed in an elimination competition which would lead to players from each tribe being eliminated. Ultimately, it Maiken Andersen and Bjørn Lambertsen from Minang and Ann Applegren from Tenga who lost the challenge and were eliminated and sent to Utopia. In episode 9, the two tribes merged and five contestants from Utopia returned to the game. In episode 10, Germaine lost a challenge and was eliminated. In episode 11, Anja and Reda were sent to Utopia where Anja lost a duel and was eliminated. In episode 13, all Utopia contestants competed in a duel which Hans "HC" Nørager lost and was eliminated. In episode 14, the recently voted out Gitte Benherdt along with all of the remaining Utopia residents competed in the final duel of the season for a spot in the final four. Ultimately, Hans Ravnholt won the duel while the others were eliminated in the following order, Gitte Behrendt, Diana Andersen, Jens Bach, Mette Egeberg, Henriette Nielsen, Hector Nielsen, and finally Jakob Jensen. In the final episode of the season the final four faced off in series of three challenges to determine the winner. As the winner of the first challenge Zabrina Kondrup was immune from the second, elimination challenge. Søren "Nicolai" Korshøj became the final contestant to be eliminated when he lost the second challenge.

Expeditie Robinson: 2007, was the eighth Dutch/Belgian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries. This season began airing on September 30, 2007 and concluded on December 27, 2007.

Wyprawa Robinson, was the only season of the Polish version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries and it aired in late 2004. The show adapted many elements from the original Swedish version of the show such as the North and South teams. The main difference in this version from most versions was that tribal council only took place every other episode. Due, to the early exits of Marek Neuman and Magdalena "Magda" Śliwko, who were both evacuated due to injuries they sustained, and Łukasz "Ken" Wiewiórski who quit, two member of the north team were eventually forced to swap teams. When it came time to merge all of the contestants took part in an elimination challenge which Wincenty lost and was eliminated from the game. When it came time for the final three the contestants competed in a challenge in order to determine who would be the final two. Ultimately, it was Katarzyna "Kasia" Drzyżdżyk who won the season over Patrycja Bokiej by a jury vote of 6-1.

Survivor Turkey is the Turkish version of the popular reality Survivor. This version of the show has aired on both Kanal D in 2005, and on Show TV in 2006, 2007, and 2010. From the beginning Survivor was a success in Turkey, however, the cost of producing the show proved to be too much for Kanal D and even Show TV could not afford to produce the show on a yearly basis. Because of production costs the show was put on hiatus in 2007 and was brought back three years later. The prize for the first seasons of the show was 150,000 euros, for the second and third seasons 250,000 euros, and 500,000 dollars for the fourth season.

Survivor A-Sziget 2 was the second and final season of the Hungarian version of Survivor which was broadcast on RTL Klub from August 25, 2004 to December 3, 2004. Although the show had the title Survivor, the tribe names of North and South reflected those traditionally used in Expedition Robinson. During the pre-merge portion of the program both teams proved strong as each won three of the immunity challenges. When the tribes merged the members of the North team stuck together while those of the South team initially did not. Starting with the seventh tribal council the twist of the "black vote" came into play. The black vote gave a person voted out at one tribal council to cast a vote at the next. Ultimately, the alliance of Anna, Dávid, Miklós, and Péter proved dominant in the later stages of the game as it picked off those that were not in it while only suffering one pre-final four casualty of its own. When it came time for the final four the contestants took part in two challenges to determine the final two. Viki and Miklós lost these challenges and were eliminated. Despite the fact that there was a jury this year, they were deadlocked in there vote and ultimately it was Dávid Hankó who won this season after receiving 52.56% of the public vote to Anna's 47.44%.

Expedition Robinson 2000, was the second and final season of the Swiss version of the reality show Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries to air in Switzerland and it was broadcast on TV3 from March 12, 2000 to June 11, 2000. An immediate twist that occurred this season was that the contestants were initially split into two tribes based on gender. In episode one, Daniel Sauter suffered an injury at camp and had to be evacuated from the game. Sauter was later replaced by Hansjürg Binzegger. Both Alessandra Angiuli and Manfred Breitschmid were eliminated from the game in episode two when the contestants were split up into two tribes of seven, one being the Nordcamp and the other being the Südcamp, based on a school yard style pick. Following a duel in episode four, South team member Sascha Negele was moved to the North team. In episode six the two tribes merged into the Tengah tribe and shortly after the fifth tribal council the "black vote" twist was introduced into the game. The black vote twist allowed a player that was voted out at one tribal council to cast a vote at the following tribal council. In episode seven, a joker, Ivana Bolzano, entered the game. When it came time for the final five, the contestants took part in a series of challenges in which the winner would be able to eliminate any of the losers they wanted to. Maddalena Haug, Sascha Negele, and Dayana Zgraggen all failed to win a challenge and were eliminated. Ultimately, it was Stefanie Ledermann who won this season over Martina Pérez with an unknown jury vote.

Expedition Robinson, was the first season of the Central European version of Survivor which was broadcast on RTL2 in Germany and on ORF in Austria from September 17, 2000 to December 3, 2000. The main twist this season was that the contestants were split into two teams based on their country of origin, with the North team initially being composed of eight Germans and the South team of eight Austrians. The early portion of the competition saw the South team struggle to just survive as they quickly lost the first three immunity challenges leading to the elimination of three of their members. Due to the evacuation of Claudia in episode two and the voluntary exits of Babsi and Lorraine in episodes four and six, jokers Julia, Frank, and Ulrike were added to the North and South teams midway through the pre-merge stage of the competition. When the tribes merged in episode eight, the former members of the South team found themselves the target of a North team based alliance and were systematically picked off until only Ulrike remained. When it came time for the final four, the contestants competed in two challenges in order to determine who would make the final two. As Thomas and Ulrike lost both of said challenges they were eliminated from the game. Ultimately, it was Melanie who won the season over Marc with a jury vote of 4-3.

Robinson Ekspeditionen 2011 was the fourteenth season of the Danish version of the Swedish television series Expedition Robinson. This season premiered on September 5, 2011. The first twist this season was that the tribe that lost the first immunity challenge was to be forced to live on the desolate side of the island while the winning tribe lived on a side of the island that had many luxuries and comforts. The only thing separating the two tribes was a wall. The losing tribe was also forced to take part in a large elimination in which half of the tribe will be eliminated from the game. Among the contestants this season will be siblings Karina Andersen and Maria Bruun, who'll be on the same tribe but will keep their relationship a secret from the other contestants. As another twist, this year there was no "Utopia", instead eliminated contestants may be sent to "Guardian Island". On the island eliminated contestants will be forced to battle three guardians of a golden skull for a spot on the island. In episode 2 the two cousins, Hugo and Morten Kleister, entered the game as jokers and joined the recently cut-in-half North team. In episode 3, another joker, Mie Deichmann Jørgensen, also joined the North team, thought shortly after she was voted out of the game. In the same episode another joker, Daniel Broner Jensen, entered the game as a member of the South team, though he too was voted out shortly after due to his poor relationship with some of the other South team members. In episode 6, the remaining contestants were asked if they wanted to switch tribes. While only Louise Valbjørn opted to do this, her move proved to be both strategic and game changing as she was able to successfully throw the immunity challenge to her old tribe and convince members of her new tribe to vote out Nima Alijana Hassanlouei. In episode 7, four more jokers, Kit Ruprecht, Marlene Thinggaard, Nicolai Barden, and Zabrina Kondrup, entered the game. Zabrina was well known for her participation in the previous season of Robinson. In episode 8, the guards protecting the golden skull were told that they had to "curse" a contestant. Said contestant would be given a mission to complete and if they failed they would automatically be eliminated from the competition. They chose Brigitte who ultimately passed her mission and was allowed to eliminate two of her fellow competitors. The final three contestants, Marlene Thinggaard and Hugo and Morten Kleister, took part in a final challenge which would determine the winner. Ultimately, Hugo Kleister beat out his cousin Morten and Marlene Thinggaard to win the grand prize of 250,000 Danish krones. At the end of the season, the three final guardians, all of whom had a key to the cage of the skull, took possession of the skull and with it half of the 500,000 krones prize to split among the four of them. This, however, would not have been true should the guardians have failed their final duel against Hugo, the actual winner of the season. Per faced Hugo in the final duel and won the 250,000 Danish krones for himself and fellow Guardians Patricia Beck, Tommy Kristensen, and Zabrina Kondrup.
