Roger S. H. Schulman is an American screenwriter and film producer. [1] He co-wrote the animated feature Shrek , for which he won the British Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay). [2]

A native of Brooklyn, NY, he graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in English. MS Journalism, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Career

He co-wrote the animated feature Balto for executive producer Steven Spielberg, and wrote Mulan II and The Jungle Book 2 for Walt Disney Pictures. [3] [4] He developed and wrote the screenplay for an animated feature about the true story of a tortoise who befriends a baby hippo after the 2004 tsunami. The film has not yet been made. He also had written an unproduced version of Jungle Cruise, a screenplay for Disney, inspired by the theme park attraction, slated to star Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. [5]

Schulman has also worked extensively as a producer and writer for television. He was co-creator and executive producer of the series Jonas for the Disney Channel, for which he was nominated for an Emmy award. He was also executive producer of Phil of the Future on Disney Channel. He developed and was executive producer of 2gether for MTV; he was executive producer for Living Single with Queen Latifah, for which he won an NAACP Image Award; he also wrote on Parker Lewis Can't Lose and ALF . In addition, he served as co-writer of the original pilot for The Wayans Bros. television series, as well as the pilots The Mother Load, Fresh Man and Just My Luck.

His most notable credits for Disney include creating, writing and producing the animated series Darkwing Duck and producing Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Aladdin, Hercules, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Steven L. Marmel is an American television writer, producer, and stand-up comedian who has worked on many animated television series, including The Fairly OddParents, I Am Weasel, Danny Phantom, Family Guy and Yin Yang Yo!. During his work on The Fairly OddParents he frequently co-wrote episodes with Butch Hartman. Marmel also created the series Sonny with a Chance, So Random as well as the series Mech-X4.

Philip LaZebnik is an American screenwriter and producer. He is known for writing the animated films Pocahontas (1995), Mulan (1998), The Prince of Egypt (1998), and The Road to El Dorado (2000).

Mark McCorkle is an American screenwriter, television writer and television producer. Among others, he is co-creator of the popular Disney animated series, Kim Possible. He frequently collaborates with fellow writer Bob Schooley. Prior to Kim Possible, McCorkle, Schooley, and the main director of Kim Possible, Steve Loter, also held their respective jobs on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Many voice talents on Kim Possible, also did work on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. He worked on DreamWorks' The Penguins of Madagascar as a producer along with Schooley, again with regular voices Sullivan and John DiMaggio. From 2017 to 2021, McCorkle and Schooley created and executive produced a TV series based on the 2014 Disney animated feature, Big Hero 6 for Disney XD and Disney Channel.
