Roland Jokl (born 26 July 1962) is an Austrian former athlete who specialised in sprinting events. [3] He represented his country at the 1983 World Championships reaching the quarterfinals of the 200 metres. In addition, he finished fourth in the final at the 1984 European Indoor Championships.

The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the stadion and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. The 200 m places more emphasis on speed endurance than shorter sprint distances as athletes predominantly rely on anaerobic energy system during the 200 m sprint. Similarly to other sprint distances, the 200 m begins from the starting blocks. When the sprinters adopt the 'set' position in the blocks they are able to adopt a more efficient starting posture and isometrically preload their muscles. This enables them to stride forwards more powerfully when the race begins and start faster.
Raymond Douglas Stewart is a former Jamaican athlete who specialised in the 100 metres event. As a junior athlete Stewart found much success at the CARIFTA Games, winning five gold medals within a four-year period. In 1984 he reached the 100 m Olympic final and won an Olympic silver medal for the 4×100 metres relay. At the 1987 World Championships he took silver in the 100 m and bronze with the Jamaican relay team. A leg injury in the 1988 Olympic final of the 100 m ruined his medal chances in both the individual and relay events.
Marian Jerzy Woronin is a retired Polish athlete who competed mainly in the 100 metres. He is a four-time European Indoor Champion in the 60 metres. He won nine Polish outdoor titles, and nine indoor titles.
Erwin Richard Skamrahl is a retired German track and field athlete who competed in the 200 and 400 metres.
Carlo Simionato is a retired Italian sprinter who specialised in the 100 and 200 metres.
Stefano Tilli is a former Italian sprinter who specialized in the 100 and 200 m, twice European indoor champion, three-time semi-finalist at the Olympic Games, and was the world record holder in the 200m indoor.
Antonio Ullo is a former Italian sprinter who specialized in the 60 metres.
Aldo Canti is a French and later Sammarinese former sprinter who competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics and in the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Christoph Pöstinger is a retired Austrian sprinter who competed primarily in the 200 metres. He represented his country at the 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as one outdoor and two indoor World Championships.
Julien Watrin is a Belgian sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. In 2023, he won his first individual major senior medal, with silver at the European Indoor Championships. Watrin earned several major medals with national men's 4 × 400 m relays, including bronzes at the 2019 and 2022 World Athletics Championships.
Noah Lyles is an American professional track and field sprinter competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He is the 2020 Tokyo Olympic 200 m bronze medalist and a six-time World champion, having won the 200 m and 4 x 100 m at the 2019 World Championships, the 200 m at the 2022 World Championships, and the 100 m, 200 m, and 4 x 100 m events at the 2023 World Championships, becoming the first man since Usain Bolt in 2015 to complete the sprint treble at a World Championships. At the 2022 Championships, Lyles also earned a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m relay. He holds personal bests of 9.83 seconds for the 100 m and 19.31 seconds for the 200 m, the latter being an American record making him the third fastest on the respective world all-time list.
Ángel Valentín de las Heras Lázaro is a retired Spanish sprinter who competed in the 200 and 400 metres. He represented his country at the 1984 and 1992 Summer Olympics as well as two World Championships, in 1983 and 1987.
Gusztáv Menczer is a Hungarian former sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres. He represented his country at the 1983 World Championships and 1989 World Indoor Championships.
Željko Knapić is a retired Croatian sprinter who represented former Yugoslavia in the 400 metres. He competed at the 1980 Summer Olympics in the 4 × 400 metres relay without qualifying for the final. In addition, he won two medals at the Mediterranean Games. He still holds Croatian records in the 200 and 400 metres.
Artur Zaczek is a Polish athlete specialising in the sprinting events. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2009 European U23 Championships in addition to three medals won in the same event at the Summer Universiades between 2009 and 2015. He was also an unused reserve runner at the 2012 Summer Olympics, as well as the 2011 and 2013 World Championships.

Óscar Husillos Domingo is a Spanish sprinter specialising in the 200 and 400 metres. He won the gold medal in the 400 m at the 2021 European Indoor Championships and a silver at the 2019 European Indoor Championships.
Markus Fuchs is an Austrian sprinter. He represented his country at two outdoor and three indoor European Championships.
Ramsey Angela is a Dutch sprinter specialising in the 400 metres and 400 metres hurdles. He won the bronze medal in the 400 m hurdles at the 2021 European Under-23 Championships. Angela earned four major medals as part of Dutch men's 4 × 400 m relays, including silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
