Roma Independent School District is a public school district based in Roma, Texas (USA). The district currently serves over 6,000 students.

The city was formed in 2005 from part of the deleted Escobares CDP, and parts of Garceno, and North Escobares CDPs, and additional area. Prior to its 2005 incorporation as a city, it was a census-designated place (CDP). The population of the CDP was 1,954 at the 2000 census.
