Roskovec (definite form : Roskoveci) is a town and a municipality in Fier County, south-central Albania. The municipality was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Kuman, Kurjan, Roskovec and Strum, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town of Roskovec. [1] The total population is 21,742 (2011 census), [2] in a total area of 118.08 km2. [3] The population of the former municipality at the 2011 census was 4,975. [2]

Fier experiences a seasonal Mediterranean climate effected by its proximity to the Adriatic Sea in the west.

The county borders on the Adriatic Sea to the west, the counties of Tirana to the north, Elbasan to the northeast, Berat to the east and Vlorë to the south, Gjirokastër Country to the sud east. It is the center of the oil industry in Albania, and is 7 kilometers southeast from the city of Fier.

The seat of the municipality is the town Çorovodë. The total population is 12,403, in a total area of 832.04 km2. It covers part of the area of the former Skrapar District, without the town Poliçan.
