Ross County Football Club are a Scottish professional association football club based in Dingwall. Ross County joined the Highland Football League in 1929, and then were one of two clubs voted into the Scottish Professional Football League System in 1994.
The club's record appearance maker is Michael Gardyne, who has made Over 400 appearances through four spells at the club. Gordon Connelly is County's all time goal scorer, scoring 101 goals.

Ross County Football Club is a professional football club based in Dingwall, Scotland. The club currently play in the Scottish Premiership, being promoted after winning the Scottish Championship in the 2018–19 season.
Andrew Barrowman is a Scottish retired professional footballer, who played as a striker. A journeyman, Barrowman played for 15 different sides during his career, including Rangers, Ross County and Dunfermline Athletic in Scotland and Birmingham City and Walsall in England.
Ross Tokely is a Scottish football coach and former professional player who played for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Ross County, Brora Rangers, and Nairn County, he currently manages Nairn County.
Michael Gardyne is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Scottish League One club Montrose. Gardyne previously played for Ross County, Morton, Kilmarnock, Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The term North derby is sometimes used to emphasise their relative geographical proximity, when matches are played between Scottish football clubs Aberdeen and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The clubs first met in a Scottish League Cup tie played on 8 August 1998. Inverness first entered the Scottish Football League in 1994 alongside fellow Highland side Ross County, forming the Highland derby. The Highland derby is a football rivalry that is based in the Scottish Highlands. It is contested between the only two full-time SPFL clubs in the Highland council area, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County. The city of Inverness and town of Dingwall are only 14 miles (23 km) apart, whereas the nearest other professional clubs are over 100 miles (160 km) away from either club. The fixture is the most northerly professional football derby in the UK.

The 2012–13 season was Ross County's first season in the Scottish Premier League, having been promoted as champions of the Scottish First Division at the end of 2011–12 season. They also competed in the League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
The 2015–16 Scottish League Cup final was the 70th final of the Scottish League Cup. The final took place on 13 March 2016 at Hampden Park, Glasgow. The clubs contesting the final were Hibernian and Ross County, with Ross County winning 2–1 with a last minute goal. The win was Ross County's first major trophy in senior football.
The 2016–17 season was the club's 4th season in the Scottish Premiership and their fifth consecutive appearance in the top flight of Scottish football. Ross County also competed in the Scottish Cup and the League Cup, having won the League Cup the previous year for the first time in their history.
Inverness Athletic Football Club is a Scottish football club playing in the North Caledonian Football League currently based in the city of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.
The 2018–19Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C. season is the club's second season in the Scottish Championship, having been relegated from the Scottish Premiership at the end of the 2016–17 season. Caley Thistle will also compete in the Scottish Challenge Cup, Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup. This season will be the 25th season since Inverness joined the Scottish Football League. This season is also the return of the Highland derby after Ross County were relegated one season after Inverness.
The 2018–19 season seen the club's return to the Scottish Championship after being relegated from the Scottish Premiership, the top flight of Scottish football. On 26 April 2019 however, they were crowned Champions and made an immediate return to the Premiership.
Callum Semple is a centre-back English professional footballer, who is unsigned. Semple has previously played for Sheffield United's youth academy, Ross County and Queen of the South.
