The cast was announced on April 23, 2024, and featured eight queens. For the first time in the show's history, the contestants will be competing for a $200,000 contribution, provided by The Palette Fund, to a charity of their choice. [5]
The winner of the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars was Angeria Paris VanMicheals. Roxxxy Andrews and Vanessa Vanjie placed as the runners-up. Nina West won the Double Diamond vote from her fellow contestants, doubling her total badge count.

Eight previous contestants from the Drag Race Franchise enter the workroom. RuPaul reveals the season's format: the contestants are playing for their chosen charities and, similar to All Stars 7, there will be no eliminations throughout the season. Instead, the Top 2 All Stars of the week each receive a Beautiful Benefactress Badge, then participate in a Lip Sync for Your Legacy. The winner of the lip sync earns a $10,000 charity donation and the opportunity to "cut off" one of the six safe queens, meaning that even if she wins the next week's challenge, she will be prevented from winning a badge. At the end of the season, the three queens with the most Beautiful Benefactress Badges will be eligible for the crown. For the first mini-challenge, the queens read each other to filth. First, Gottmik chooses to lip sync against Angeria Paris VanMicheals, who chooses "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" by En Vogue. Angeria Paris VanMicheals wins the lip-sync and advances to round 2. As the queens enter the werkroom they find a pink furry box full of humorous performance prompts; each queen receives a $1,500 charity donation for participating. For this week's mini-challenge the queens have to give a drag makeover to a crew member. All the contestants are declared as mini-challenge winners. RuPaul then announces that the upcoming final main challenge will be a variety extravaganza, the winners of which will receive three badges each. For the rest of the episode the queens prepare for their variety performances and sit down for Tic-Tac lunches with RuPaul. At the end of the episode Ts Madison announces that the queens will vote for one of their competitors to receive the "double diamond", which will double the badges of the recipient and will be announced after all other badges are awarded.

Michael W. Feliciano, known by their stage name Roxxxy Andrews, is an American drag performer who came to international attention for being a contestant on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the second and ninth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is an American reality competition spin off edition of the original RuPaul's Drag Race, which is produced by World of Wonder, for Logo TV and later VH1. The show premiered on October 22, 2012, on Logo TV, before relocating to VH1. However, it was announced on February 20, 2020, on the show's official Twitter account that the fifth season would premiere on June 5, 2020, on Showtime. Following the cast announcement on May 8, 2020, producers announced that the show would remain airing on VH1 instead of Showtime due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused "various scheduling and programming adjustments". On February 24, 2021, Paramount+ announced via Twitter that the streaming service would be the new home to the series for the sixth season.
The tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race began airing on March 22, 2018, on VH1. The premiere was broadcast one week after the finale of the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, and episodes are to be followed by RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked. Contestants were officially announced on February 22, 2018, in a teaser trailer during an episode of All Stars 3 later followed by a special "Meet the Queens" live-stream on Facebook, hosted by season nine winner, Sasha Velour. This season saw the return of season 9 contestant Eureka O'Hara who was removed from her original season after tearing her ACL. The prizes for the winner of this season include a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics and a cash prize of $100,000. This is the first season in which each episode was 90 minutes long.
The eleventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race aired on VH1 from February 28, 2019, to May 30, 2019. The cast featured fourteen new queens and one returning queen, making it the largest cast of the series at the time; the contestants were announced in a live stream hosted by season 10 winner Aquaria and Adam Rippon on January 24, 2019.

Prior to the official announcement, RuPaul confirmed, in an episode of his podcast What's the Tee?, that filming for the fourth season of All Stars currently was underway. All Stars Season 3 winner Trixie Mattel, with special guests Katya and Detox, hosted a special called Trixie's Playhouse to announce the cast for the fourth season. It was scheduled to air on November 8, 2018, but was postponed to the following day due to the Thousand Oaks shooting. The season began airing on December 14, 2018, and ran for ten episodes.

The competition was broadcast on VH1 in the United States and saw 13 new queens competing for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar". At the time of the renewal the Drag Race franchise had earned VH1 a total of 14 Emmy nominations. VH1 renewed both RuPaul's Drag Race and its spin-off RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars for a thirteenth and sixth season respectively on August 20, 2020. Casting calls for season 13 were opened in December 2019. In addition to airing on VH1, the premiere episode was simulcast across 5 other channels: Logo, MTV, MTV2, Pop, and The CW, becoming the most-watched episode in the franchise's history.

The first series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World began airing on BBC Three on 1 February 2022. RuPaul assumed the role of main host and head judge, and was joined on the judging panel by Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton, all of whom are judges on RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
The second series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World began airing on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on 9 February 2024. RuPaul returned to his role of main host and head judge, and again was joined on the judging panel by Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton, all of whom are judges on RuPaul's Drag Race UK.
