Kylie Sonique Love [1] (born May 2, 1983), formerly known as Sonique, is an American entertainer, singer, dancer, model and reality television personality. She rose to prominence as a contestant on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2009, and achieved further popularity by winning the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars eleven years later in 2021. [2] Love was the first person to ever come out as transgender on any reality TV show. Upon winning All Stars 6, Love became the second trans woman to win an installment of the Drag Race franchise, and was the first to win an American series. Additionally, in 2020, she co-hosted Translation Season 1, the first talk show on a major network hosted by an all-trans cast. [3] Her first single, "Santa, Please Come Home", was released in 2018. Kylie Sonique Love was born on May 2, 1983, in Albany, Georgia. [5] [6] She came out as transgender to her mother at 15 and later was sent to military school Fort Stewart [7] to become "more masculine". She received a GED at the Albany Technical College. [5] Her "drag mother" is retired Atlanta performer The Goddess Raven, a national pageant titleholder. [8]
Love was announced to be one of twelve contestants for the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race on February 1, 2010. [9] She was placed in the bottom two in episode four and was eliminated after losing a lip sync to "Two of Hearts" by Stacey Q against Morgan McMichaels. [10] She later revealed that she is a transgender woman during the reunion episode of that season. [11] [12] In 2015, Love was one of the 30 performers that appeared as a backup dancer for Miley Cyrus 's Video Music Awards performance. [13]
In June 2018, Love was a backup dancer with McMichaels and Farrah Moan for Christina Aguilera at Los Angeles Pride. [14] She subsequently appeared in the RuPaul's Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular with seven other Drag Race alumni on December 7, 2018. [15] [16] She also appeared as a guest for the first challenge in the premiere episode of season eleven of Drag Race. [17] Love appeared in a music video for Lizzo's song "Juice", which was released on April 17, 2019. [18]
In 2020, Love co-hosted Translation on Out TV, the first talk show on a major network to be hosted by an all-trans cast. [19] Love was announced as one of thirteen contestants competing on the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars on May 26, 2021, where she competed under the name Kylie Sonique Love, after previously competing under the mononym Sonique. [20] [21] On September 2, she was announced as the winner, becoming the first transgender winner in a U.S. version of the show. [22]
In 2004 at age 19, Love auditioned for American Idol for it's third season. She was with Jennifer Hudson in the Atlanta auditions. She sang Crazy in Love by Beyonce and Lady Marmalade, where she gave judge Simon Cowell a lap dance. She also became friends with judge Paula Abdul. [23] Kylie contributed to Tammie Brown's 2018 EP A Little Bit of Tammie. [24] She released her first single, "Santa, Please Come Home", the same day as the premiere of the Holi-slay Spectacular. Tammie Brown is the stage name of Keith Glen Schubert, an American drag performer, reality television personality, and recording artist. Brown was a fixture in the Southern California drag scene before appearing on the first seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars.
Morgan McMichaels is the stage name of Scottish-American drag performer Thomas White, best known as a contestant on the second season of the reality television competition RuPaul's Drag Race, as well as the third season of the show's All-Stars spinoff. She has also been involved in various Drag Race spin-offs, including RuPaul's Drag U and RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race.
Michael R. Steck, better known by the stage name Pandora Boxx, is an American drag queen, comedian, and reality television personality from Rochester, New York. Boxx competed in the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race, placing fifth and winning Miss Congeniality, and subsequently returned for the first and sixth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Boxx also appeared in all three seasons of the Drag Race spin-off series RuPaul's Drag U. Outside of reality television, Pandora Boxx has toured internationally, released several musical singles, and performed in film, television, and theatre.
Sutan Ibrahim Karim Amrullah, often shortened to Sutan Amrull, is an American drag performer and make-up artist who also goes by the stage name Raja Gemini or simply Raja. They are best known for winning the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Amrullah later returned to compete on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, an all-winners season, where they won the title "Queen Of She Done Already Done Had Herses". Outside of drag, Amrullah is also known for their makeup artistry on the reality television show America's Next Top Model. Amrullah's clients include Tyra Banks, Dita von Teese, Pamela Anderson, Paulina Porizkova, Iman, Iggy Azalea, RuPaul, and Twiggy. Since 2009, Amrullah has been make-up artist to singer Adam Lambert for print media, live U.S. appearances, and Lambert's international 2010 Glam Nation Tour.
Karl Philip Michael Westerberg, known professionally as Manila Luzon, is a Filipino-American drag queen, reality television personality, recording artist, and comedian. Luzon came to international attention as a contestant on the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race and on the first and fourth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Mariah Paris Balenciaga, also simply known as Mariah or Mariah Balenciaga, is the stage name of Elijah A. After achieving recognition for placing as the runner-up on the seventh season of the reality television competition series RuPaul's Drag Race, Minj returned to compete on the second and sixth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Minj has acted in three Netflix productions—the comedy feature film Dumplin' (2018), the animated series Super Drags, and RuPaul's fictional series AJ and the Queen, and has acted in numerous theatrical productions. Minj appeared in the 2022 film Hocus Pocus 2, the sequel to Hocus Pocus. Minj has released three studio albums—Sweet T (2016), Gummy Bear (2021), and Double Wide Diva (2021).
Martell Robinson, known by the stage name Jasmine Diane Masters, best known simply as Jasmine Masters, is an American drag queen, internet celebrity, YouTuber, and stand-up comedian. He is best known for competing on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Robinson is responsible for several viral videos, many of which have become memes, most notably And I Oop! which was the most used gif of 2019.

Bonet released her first single, "I'm a Drag Queen" on September 6, 2017, and the accompanying music video was later released on October, 18. Eureka rose to prominence competing on the ninth and tenth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race. She was removed from the ninth season due to a knee injury, becoming the first contestant in the history of the show to be sent home due to injury; she was then given an automatic berth to season 10, where she placed as runner-up.
