Kahanna Montrese is the stage name of Tyrone Hardiman (born March 25, 1993), [1] an American drag performer most known for competing on season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race and RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars .

Kahanna Montrese first performed in drag on March 25, 2011; her 18th birthday. [1] She competed on season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race . She was eliminated on the second episode ("Good God Girl, Get Out"). [2] She has been described as "Las Vegas's hip-hop showgirl" and someone who "merges street influences with upscale high fashion couture". [3] Her drag "mother" is season 5 contestant Coco Montrese. [4] In 2019, she released a single and music video for "Scores". [5] The video features Manila Luzon, Peppermint, and Trinity the Tuck. [6] Kahanna Montrese and other cast members of RuPaul's Drag Race Live! appeared on the season 14 finale (2022). [7] [8] She also appeared at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards (2022). [9] She competed on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race AllStars (2023) and placed 6th overall. [10]

Personal life

Kahanna Montrese was born in Denver, Colorado, [11] and raised in Panama City, Florida. [12] During her childhood, she frequently participated in gymnastics. [13] She now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, as of 2019. [14] [15]

However, it was announced on February 20, 2020, on the show's official Twitter account that the fifth season would premiere on June 5, 2020, on Showtime. "Whatcha Unpackin?" is the first episode of the eleventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race. It originally aired on February 28, 2019. Miley Cyrus is a guest judge. Silky Nutmeg Ganache wins the episode's mini-challenge, and Brooke Lynn Hytes wins the main challenge. Soju is eliminated from the competition after placing in the bottom two and losing a lip-sync against Kahanna Montrese to Cyrus' "The Best of Both Worlds".
