Derrick Prentice Barry [1] (born July 18, 1983) is an American drag performer, Britney Spears impersonator and reality television personality. He is best known for competing on the third season of America's Got Talent (2008), and later the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race (2016) and fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (2020). [2] Outside of reality television, Derrick Barry has toured internationally, released several musical singles, and has numerous film and television credits.
Barry, born July 18, 1983,[ citation needed ] was raised in Modesto, California. [3] He first saw Britney Spears when he was 15 in her "...Baby One More Time" music video on MTV, and first went to see her in concert in 2002. His first time in drag was when he dressed as Spears for Halloween in 2003. [4] His second time dressing as Spears was two weeks later on November 17, 2003, at the audience of The Tonight Show where Spears was a guest star. [5] Derrick was the 2010 representative for a National anti-bullying organization Don't H8 as Miss Don't H8 DIVA where he was also awarded Hall of Fame, LEGEND Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Presidential Hall of Champions. Barry first gained attention when he competed on the third season of America's Got Talent in 2008, with his talent being a Britney impersonator. [7] He made it past the auditions, but was eliminated in the quarterfinals. [8] After the show, he appeared in the music videos for Eminem's "We Made You" [9] and Katy Perry's "Waking Up in Vegas" in 2009. He was brought on stage by Madonna during one of her performances on her Rebel Heart Tour in 2015. [10]
It was announced that Barry would be competing with 11 other drag queens for the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race on February 1, 2016. [11] He was the one-hundredth queen to be seen competing on the show in the first episode. He was eliminated in the eighth episode after losing a lip sync to Bob the Drag Queen, and placing fifth. In acting, he first appeared as the character Julie in an episode of Dig in 2015. [13] He appeared in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens in 2016. [14] He played the character Kimberly in War on Everyone in 2016. [15]
He appeared as a guest for the first challenge in the premiere of season eleven of Drag Race. [16] He appeared with Vanessa Vanjie Mateo and Silky Nutmeg Ganache for an episode of the fourteenth season of Germany's Next Topmodel in 2019. [17]
In September 2019, at RuPaul's DragCon NYC, Barry was named as one of a rotating cast of a dozen Drag Race queens in RuPaul's Drag Race Live! , a Las Vegas show residency from January to August 2020 at the Flamingo Las Vegas. [18] The show will feature RuPaul's music and seven of the 12 queens: Barry, Aquaria (winner of season ten), Asia O'Hara (season ten), Coco Montrese (season five, All Stars season two), Yvie Oddly (winner of season eleven), Eureka O'Hara (seasons nine and ten, All Stars season six), India Ferrah (season three, All Stars season five), Kahanna Montrese (season eleven), Kameron Michaels (season ten), Kim Chi (season eight), Naomi Smalls (season eight, All Stars season four), and Shannel (season one, All Stars one). [18] Barry had prior experience working in Vegas drag shows, being a part Frank Marino's Divas Las Vegas and starring in Drag Queen Cuisine at House of Blues. [19] In March 2022, Barry, alongside the rest of the RuPaul's Drag Race Live! cast, performed with Katy Perry during her Play concert residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. [20]
Barry joined Eve in her performance of Supermodel by RuPaul during her appearance on The Talk . [21] In 2020, Barry returned for the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, where he was the first queen eliminated from the competition, placing 10th overall. In June 2021, he was a featured performer at Nashville's OUTLOUD Music Festival. [22] He appears in RuPaul's Drag Race Live Untucked (2024).
Barry released his first single, "BOOMBOOM" with Chris Cox on May 6, 2016. [23]
As of January 2017, Barry is in a polyamorous relationship with Nick San Pedro and Mackenzie Claude, a fellow drag queen who goes by the name Nebraska Thunderfuck, a drag daughter of Alaska Thunderfuck. [24] [25] In 2017, Barry generated controversy when he mistakenly stated in a Billboard round table discussion that people were killed during the Stonewall riots; Willam Belli, also present at the discussion, corrected him. RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition television series, the first in the Drag Race franchise, produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV, WOW Presents Plus, VH1 and, beginning with the fifteenth season, MTV. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag superstar". RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. Contestants are judged by a panel that includes RuPaul, Michelle Visage, one of three rotating judges, as well as one or more guest judges, who critique their progress throughout the competition. The title of the show is a play on drag queen and drag racing, and the title sequence and song "Drag Race" both have a drag-racing theme.
Morgan McMichaels is the stage name of Scottish-American drag performer Thomas White, best known as a contestant on the second season of the reality television competition RuPaul's Drag Race, as well as the third season of the show's All-Stars spinoff. She has also been involved in various Drag Race spin-offs, including RuPaul's Drag U and RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race.

Coco Montrese is the stage name of Lenwood Martin Cooper, an American drag queen, entertainer, and reality television personality. Montrese came into the spotlight after being crowned Miss Gay America 2010 when Alyssa Edwards' title was revoked. She subsequently appeared on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race as well as the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Mariah Paris Balenciaga, also simply known as Mariah or Mariah Balenciaga, is the stage name of Elijah A. Kelly, an American drag queen, ball performer, and television personality, best known for competing on the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race (2011) and the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars (2020). Joshua Allen Eads, better known by the stage name Ginger Minj, is an American drag queen, actor, singer-songwriter, and reality television personality. After achieving recognition for placing as the runner-up on the seventh season of the reality television competition series RuPaul's Drag Race, Minj returned to compete on the second and sixth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. Minj has acted in three Netflix productions—the comedy feature film Dumplin' (2018), the animated series Super Drags, and RuPaul's fictional series AJ and the Queen, and has acted in numerous theatrical productions. RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is an American reality competition spin off edition of the original RuPaul's Drag Race, which is produced by World of Wonder, for Logo TV and later VH1. The show premiered on October 22, 2012, on Logo TV, before relocating to VH1. However, it was announced on February 20, 2020, on the show's official Twitter account that the fifth season would premiere on June 5, 2020, on Showtime. Following the cast announcement on May 8, 2020, producers announced that the show would remain airing on VH1 instead of Showtime due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused "various scheduling and programming adjustments". On February 24, 2021, Paramount+ announced via Twitter that the streaming service would be the new home to the series for the sixth season.

Bonet released her first single, "I'm a Drag Queen" on September 6, 2017, and the accompanying music video was later released on October, 18. On May 26, 2021, she was announced as part of the cast for RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 6 alongside 12 other contestants.

Kylie Sonique Love, formerly known as Sonique, is an American entertainer, singer, dancer, model and reality television personality. She rose to prominence as a contestant on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2009, and achieved further popularity by winning the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars eleven years later in 2021. Love was the first person to ever come out as transgender on any reality TV show. Upon winning All Stars 6, Love became the second trans woman to win an installment of the Drag Race franchise, and was the first to win an American series. Additionally, in 2020, she co-hosted Translation Season 1, the first talk show on a major network hosted by an all-trans cast. Her first single, "Santa, Please Come Home", was released in 2018.

The performances are held every weeknight at Flamingo Showroom and produced by World of Wonder and Voss Events.
India Ferrah is the stage name of Shane Richardson, an American drag queen and costume designer best known for competing on the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Richardson was raised in Roanoke, Virginia, and came out as gay and started performing in drag as India Ferrah during his teens. He later lived in Dayton, Ohio, and performs regularly in Las Vegas. India Ferrah competed on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Now That's What I Call Drag Music, Vol. 1, also known as Songs in the Key of Nope, is a comedy album by American drag performer Willam Belli, self-released on October 26, 2018. The album features fellow RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Latrice Royale and Trixie Mattel, as well as drag performer Rhea Litré. Former contestants Derrick Barry and Courtney Act make guest appearances in the music video for the song "Derrick". In the United States, the album spent two weeks on Billboard's Comedy Albums chart, reaching a peak position of number four.
