Christmas Queens is a Christmas album featuring classic covers and original songs by several of the contestants and fan favorites from the TV series RuPaul's Drag Race . The album was released on November 13, 2015.

Contents

The sequel album, Christmas Queens 2 , was released in 2016, followed by Christmas Queens 3 in 2017 and Christmas Queens 4 in 2018.

Promotion

In support of this release, the artists embarked on The Christmas Queens Tour, which featured them performing tracks from the album. [1] Also, music videos were released for many of the album tracks, including Alaska Thunderfuck's "Everyday Is Christmas," Detox Icunt's "This Is How We Jew It" and Jiggly Caliente's "Ratchet Christmas." [2]

The single's music video went viral online. They followed this up with the January 2013 release of "Boy Is a Bottom", a parody of the Alicia Keys song "Girl on Fire", which proved to be even more popular, amassing 25.8 million views on YouTube, as of 2022.

Delano then went on to compete on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, placing ninth after voluntarily leaving the competition. Anus is the debut studio album by American drag performer Alaska Thunderfuck, the stage name of Justin Honard. It was released on June 23, 2015, through Sidecar Records and Producer Entertainment Group. After signing a recording contract with Producer Entertainment Group in 2013, Alaska Thunderfuck began planning the album that same year and work continued into 2015. She enlisted a variety of producers for the album, which also features guest vocals from fellow RuPaul's Drag Race contestants: season four's Willam, and season six's Courtney Act and Laganja Estranja.

Slay Belles is the ninth studio album and second Christmas album from American singer and drag queen RuPaul. It was released exclusively via iTunes and Amazon on 23 October 2015, through RuPaul's label RuCo. It was also made available to stream through Spotify. Slay Belles sees a return to Christmas music for RuPaul after releasing his first festive album, Ho, Ho, Ho, in 1997. The album features RuPaul's frequent collaborators, Michelle Visage and Big Freedia, as well as Markaholic, Ellis Miah, Todrick Hall and Siedah Garrett. The album's interludes feature the Pit Crew from RuPaul's Drag Race.

Christmas Queens 2 is a holiday compilation album by various artists. It was released by Producer Entertainment Group on November 11, 2016. Consisting of 30 tracks, the album is a sequel to Christmas Queens (2015) and features RuPaul's Drag Race contestants alongside Jackie Beat, Michelle Visage, and Carnie Wilson performing mostly original material; exceptions include ensemble covers of "Deck the Halls" and "Auld Lang Syne, as well as Visage's rendition of "O Holy Night". The compilation was promoted by a music video for "Working Holiday", which features Alaska Thunderfuck and Manila Luzon, a web series entitled Christmas Queens, and a tour by various artists with December 2016 shows in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. It received mixed reviews from music critics and peaked at number two on Billboard's Comedy Albums chart.

Poundcake is the second studio album by American drag performer and recording artist Alaska Thunderfuck, released by Producer Entertainment Group on October 14, 2016. The album features RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Adore Delano, Gia Gunn, and Miss Fame, and drag performer Jackie Beat. "Puppet" was released as the lead single, and an accompanying music video was directed by Santiago Felipe. Music videos were also created for "The T", which features Adore Delano and other Drag Race competitors Coco Montrese, Katya, Tatianna, and Trixie Mattel, "Stun", which features appearances by Gia Gunn, Courtney Act, and Mariah Paris Balenciaga, as well as "Come to Brazil".
