Ruben Trumpelmann (born 1 February 1998) is a South African-born Namibian cricketer, who now plays for the Namibia cricket team. [1] [2]
Trumpelmann was born in Durban, South Africa to a Namibian-born father, and spent his early life in Pretoria. [3] He was educated at Afrikaans Hoer Skool, South Africa. [4]
He made his List A debut for Northerns in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 12 November 2017. [5] [6] He made his first-class debut for Northerns in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 23 November 2017. [7]
In September 2018, he was named in Northerns' squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. [8] He made his Twenty20 debut for Northerns in the 2018 Africa T20 Cup on 14 September 2018. [9] He was the leading wicket-taker for Northerns in the 2018–19 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup, with 23 dismissals in eight matches. [10]
Trumpelmann became eligible to play international cricket for Namibia due to his father having been born in Windhoek. [6] In March 2021, he was named in Namibia's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Uganda, [11] and in September that year in Namibia's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. [12] He was also named in Namibia's T20I squad for the 2021 Summer T20 Bash, played just before the World Cup. [13] He made his T20I debut on 5 October 2021, for Namibia against the United Arab Emirates. [14]
In November 2021, he was named in Namibia's One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2021 Namibia Tri-Nation Series. [15] He made his ODI debut on 26 November 2021, for Namibia against Oman. [16]
In May 2024, he was named in Namibia’s squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. [17]

Malan Binneman Kruger is a Namibian cricketer. A right-handed batsman, Kruger played in the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Nikolaas Davin is a Namibian cricketer. In January 2016 he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In June 2024, he became the first batsman to have ever been dismissed in "retired out" fashion in the history of ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Abdu Dayyaan Galiem is a South African cricketer who plays for Western Province. Galiem was born in Cape Town, and educated at Rondebosch Boys High School. Playing as an all-rounder, he made his debut for Western Province in September 2015, playing against Easterns in the Africa T20 Cup. In December 2015, Galiem was named in the South African under-19s squad for the 2016 Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh. He was originally also named in the team for the 2014 World Cup, but was replaced by Bradley Dial prior to the tournament after suffering a knee injury.
Michael van Lingen is a Namibian cricketer. In January 2016, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was one of the most successful bowlers at the tournament, and was also praised during Namibia's surprise victory over South Africa when he walked after being caught behind despite the umpire not giving him out. He made his first-class debut for Northerns on 3 March 2016 in the Sunfoil 3-Day Cup tournament.
Ryan David Rickelton is a South African cricketer. He made his international debut for the South Africa cricket team on 31 March 2022. A left handed wicket-keeper batter, Rickelton represents Gauteng and MI Cape Town in domestic cricket.
Migael Pretorius is a South African cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium bowler. He made his List A debut for Northerns against North West on 13 December 2015. He was the leading wicket-taker in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup, with a total of 42 dismissals in ten matches.
Sean Andre Whitehead is a South African cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Free State against Zimbabwe in the 2016 Africa T20 Cup on 9 September 2016. Prior to his Twenty20 debut, he was part of South Africa's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
