Rumors is the second major label extended play (EP) from American rapper Jake Miller. It was released on July 8, 2015. through Warner Bros. Records without prior announcement or promotion. [1] [2] The EP debuted and peaked at number 119 on the US Billboard 200, and sold 8,000 copies in its first week. [3] [4]
David Jeffires from AllMusic said "With material that's generally light and fluffy in the best sense of the words, rapper Jake Miller tends to shine on the short, EP format, dropping four to six of his infectious pop-rap tracks and then bowing out before he's anywhere near cloying." and went on to say that "[Rumors] is one of his best showcases." Miller released a music video for "Rumors", which was directed by Edgar Esteves, on July 8, 2015. [6] On July 23, 2015, a music video for "Selfish Girls" was released, featuring cameos from Camila Cabello, Jasmine V, Meghan Trainor, and Nikki Flores. [7] [8] Miller released a music video for "Sunshine" on September 9, 2015, as a tribute to his close childhood friend, Dylan Andrew Schopp, who died by suicide on February 12, 2015. Collision Course is a collaborative EP from American rapper Jay-Z and rock band Linkin Park, released on November 30, 2004, by Roc-A-Fella, Machine Shop, Warner Bros. and Def Jam. From Linkin Park's catalog, Collision Course features three songs from Meteora and four from Hybrid Theory. From Jay-Z's catalog, it features three songs from The Black Album, one from Vol. 3: Life and Times of S. Carter, one from Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life and one from The Blueprint. Before the album, Jay-Z had released collaborations with The Roots and R. Kelly, and Linkin Park had collaborated with various artists on their remix album Reanimation.
"Bad Day" is a pop song by Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter from his self-titled second studio album (2005). It was written by Powter and produced by Jeff Dawson and Mitchell Froom. Powter and Dawson recorded the song in 2002, but were initially unable to find a record label to release it. The song was first used in a French Coca-Cola television advertisement in Christmas 2004 before its official release. Tom Whalley, Warner Bros. Records' chairman and CEO, offered Powter a contract after hearing a demo tape of it. This track ended up being released as the aforementioned album's lead single in Europe in early 2005.
