The Russia men's national under-21 volleyball team represents Russia in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 21. It is ruled by the Russian Volleyball Federation, an affiliate of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).[ citation needed ]
In response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Volleyball Federation suspended all Russian national teams, clubs, and officials, as well as beach and snow volleyball athletes, from all events. [1] [2] The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) also banned all Russian national teams, clubs, and officials from participating in European competition, and suspended all members of Russia from their respective functions in CEV organs. [3]

The European Volleyball Confederation is the continental governing body for the sports of indoor volleyball, beach volleyball and snow volleyball in Europe. Its headquarters is in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.
The Russia women's national volleyball team is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and participated in international volleyball competitions. They played from 1949 to 1991 as the Soviet Union and as the CIS in 1992.
The Russia men's national volleyball team is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and took part in international volleyball competitions.
The Belarus women's national volleyball team represented Belarus in international women's volleyball competitions and friendly matches. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union the team first competed on the highest level under its own flag at the 1993 European Championship, finishing in eighth place.
The Russia women's national under-23 volleyball team represents Russia in international women's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 23 and it is ruled by the Russian Volleyball Federation That is an affiliate of International Volleyball Federation FIVB and also a part of European Volleyball Confederation CEV.

The Belarus men's national volleyball team represented Belarus in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. The team is currently not ranked in the world rankings.
The Italy men's national under-21 volleyball team represents Italy in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 21 and it is ruled by the Italian Volleyball Federation That is an affiliate of International Volleyball Federation FIVB and also a part of European Volleyball Confederation CEV.
The Russia men's national under-23 volleyball team represents Russia in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 23 and it is ruled by the Russian Volleyball Federation That is an affiliate of International Volleyball Federation FIVB and also a part of European Volleyball Confederation CEV.
The Russia men's national under-19 volleyball team represents Russia in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 19 and it is ruled by the Russian Volleyball Federation body that is an affiliate of the Federation of International Volleyball FIVB and also part of the European Volleyball Confederation CEV.
The 2022 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship features 24 teams. Three places are allocated to the hosts, the Netherlands and Poland, and the current titleholder, Serbia. Ten places were to be allocated to the top two teams from each of the 2021 Continental Championships that have not yet qualified as host or titleholder. Remaining places were to be allocated to the top eleven teams in the FIVB World Ranking that have not yet qualified through the first three criteria. Following the cancellation of the 2021 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, AVC allocated two quota spots to China and Japan, the top two teams in the AVC Continental Ranking.

The Czechoslovakia men's national under-21 volleyball team represented Czechoslovakia in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 21. It was ruled by the Czechoslovak Volleyball Federation, that was an affiliate member of the Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) and was a part of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).
