Phillip Ryan Jenkins (January 26, 1987) is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. Jenkins is the head coach of the UT Martin Skyhawks baseball team.

Contents

Amateur career

Jenkins attended Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, Alabama. As a junior, Jenkins was named 5A All-State as a utility player. [1] Jenkins then committed to Auburn University, where he was a member of the Auburn Tigers baseball team. [2]

Professional career

Jenkins was drafted in the 17th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft by the Kansas City Royals. [3] Jenkins played parts of three seasons in Kansas City's farm system. Although he was assigned to the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers for a week in August 2011, Jenkins never played a game above Double-A. [4]

Coaching career

On August 24, 2016, Jenkins was named an assistant coach at the College of Charleston. [5] On December 11, 2017, Jenkins was named the interim head coach of the Skyhawks. [6] On April 17, 2018, he was promoted to the full-time head coach.

Jarrett played college baseball at Florida State University from 1991 to 1994 for coach Mike Martin. He was the head coach at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2013 to 2019 and University of Notre Dame from 2020 to 2022.

The 2016–17 UT Martin Skyhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Tennessee at Martin during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Skyhawks, led by first-year head coach Anthony Stewart, played their home games at Skyhawk Arena as members of the West Division of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 22–13, 10–6 in OVC play to win the West Division championship. As the No. 2 seed in the OVC tournament, they defeated Murray State before losing to Jacksonville State in the championship game. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated UNC Asheville in the first round before losing in the second round to Campbell.

Anthony W. Stewart was an American college basketball coach. His last position was as head coach of the UT Martin Skyhawks. Since Stewart joined the Skyhawk program as the associate head coach under Heath Schroyer in 2014, the team won 94 games, the most in a six-year time period since they became part of Division I. Stewart was responsible of the team's three straight 20-win campaigns from 2014–2017, a first for the UT team. Also in that span, the Skyhawks won five postseason games and was the only Ohio Valley Conference school to win at least one postseason game in each of the last three seasons. Coach Stewart had gone on to coach over 15 professional players during his coaching career.

Johnny Ray Cardenas is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. Cardenas is the head coach of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks baseball team.

Brett Keaton Harker is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Limestone Saints. The 2021–22 UT Martin Skyhawks men's basketball team represented the University of Tennessee at Martin in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Skyhawks, led by first-year head coach Ryan Ridder, played their home games at Skyhawk Arena in Martin, Tennessee as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 8–22, 4–14 in OVC play to finish in ninth place. They failed to qualify for the OVC Tournament.

Craig Randall II is an American professional basketball player for the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers and the UT Martin Skyhawks.

Jay Uhlman is a baseball coach and former shortstop, who is the current head baseball coach of the Tulane Green Wave. He played college baseball at Los Angeles Harbor College from 1993 to 1994 before transferring to Nevada where he played in 1995 and 1997. He also served as the head coach of the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks (2000–2001).
