Sachin Khedekar (born 14 May 1965) is an Indian actor and director known for his work in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati and Malayalam language films. His well-known films include Kaksparsh , Astitva and Shyam Benegal's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero in which he portrayed Subhas Chandra Bose. [1] Notable TV series include SailaabImtihaan and Samvidhaan in which he played B. R. Ambedkar. [2] [3]
Khedekar was born on 14 May 1965 and raised in Vile Parle, Mumbai, in a Marathi family. [4] [5] He lost his father at the age of 5. [6] He married Jalpa Khedekar on 19 December 1993. [7] [8] The couple has two sons. [9]
Khedekar started as a theatre artist before moving to act in movies. [10] He started acting in plays in 1985. [5] His first play was Vidhilikhit. He has also been in a play titled Shyam Rang in 2000. He got into Hindi television through the show Imtihaan in 1995. [11] [12] [13]

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero is a 2004 Indian epic biographical war film, written and directed by Shyam Benegal. The film starred an ensemble cast of Sachin Khedekar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rajit Kapur, Arif Zakaria, and Divya Dutta, among others. The film depicts the life of the Indian Independence leader Subhas Chandra Bose in Nazi Germany: 1941–1943, and in Imperial Japanese-occupied Asia, Including East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Western Asia A.K.A West Asia A.K.A The Middle East A.K.A Middle East in The Year 1943–1945 A.K.A 1943-1945, and the events leading to the formation of Azad Hind Fauj.
