"Gett Off" is a song written and produced by American musician Prince, released in June 1991 as the lead single from his thirteenth album, Diamonds and Pearls (1991). The album was his first with his backing band the New Power Generation. "Gett Off" was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic, reaching number four in the United Kingdom; the maxi-single was too long and pricey to appear on the UK Singles Chart, so this release was classified as an album, peaking at number 33 on the UK Albums Chart in August 1991.
"Crazy" is a song written by the English singer Seal and English songwriter Guy Sigsworth. It was produced by Trevor Horn and released in November 1990 on Seal's debut album, Seal (1991). The song became his first commercial hit, reaching No. 2 in the United Kingdom, while becoming his first top ten single in the United States. It has since been covered by several artists, including Alanis Morissette, whose version was released as a single from her 2005 compilation album, The Collection.
"White and Black Blues" was the French entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1990, performed in French by Joëlle Ursull, from her album Black French. The song was performed fourteenth on the night of the competition. At the close of voting, it had received 132 points, tying for second place in a field of 22. "White and Black Blues" was co-written by French pop provocateur Serge Gainsbourg, who had previously composed France Gall's winning entry for Luxembourg in 1965, "Poupée de cire, poupée de son", as well as the Monegasque entry "Boum-Badaboum" for Minouche Barelli in 1967, which had finished fifth.
"The Only Way Is Up" is a song written by George Jackson and Johnny Henderson and originally released in 1980 as a single by soul singer Otis Clay. In 1988, it became a chart-topping single in the United Kingdom for Yazz and the Plastic Population. The song is used as the theme tune to the popular ITV2/ITVBe reality television series The Only Way Is Essex.

"Gimme the Light" is the first single from Jamaican dancehall musician Sean Paul's second studio album, Dutty Rock (2002). The song was originally released in Jamaica in 2001 as "Give Me the Light" and was issued internationally in 2002. "Gimme the Light" was Paul's first hit single, peaking at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100 and becoming a top-20 hit in Canada, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. It is the most popular hit single from the "Buzz" riddim, which was the debut hit production for Troyton Rami & Roger Mackenzie a production duo of Black Shadow Records in Miami, Florida.
"Fantasy" is a song by American band Earth, Wind & Fire, which was issued as a single in 1978 by Columbia Records.
"La Zoubida" is a novelty song by French TV presenter and humorist Lagaf'. In May 1991, it was released as the second single from his album Le Lavabo. It became a hit in mid-1991, staying at the top of the French Singles Chart for 11 weeks. The song formed the basis for a side-scrolling platform game, Lagaf': Les Aventures de Moktar — Vol 1: La Zoubida, developed by Titus Interactive; the game would later be altered and released as Titus the Fox internationally.
"Hélène" is a song by Canadian singer Roch Voisine. Written and composed by Voisine and Stéphane Lessard, with guitars played by Carl Katz and keyboards by Luc Gilbert, it was the first single from Voisine's debut studio album, Hélène, and was released in November 1989. The song is mainly in French but contains the English line "Hélène things you do / Make me crazy about you". The cover for the CD maxi used the same photograph as that of the album, Voisine's face with a black background. "Hélène" was successful in France, where it topped the singles chart for nine weeks, thus allowing Voisine to launch his international career.
"Hello Afrika" is a 1990 song recorded by Sweden-based musician and producer Dr Alban. It was released as the debut single from his first album with the same name (1990). It features Swedish Eurodance singer Leila K. The song is similar to Eddy Grant's "Hello Africa", but in the style of hip hop. It peaked at number one in Austria and achieved a great success in most of the other European countries, including Sweden, Germany and Switzerland.

Written by Pierre Grosz with a music composed by Vincent-Marie Bouvot and Georges Lunghini, it was released in November 1988 as the third single from her debut album Elsa. "Obsesión" is a song by Dominican-American bachata band Aventura with Judy Santos as the female vocalist. It was included on their second studio album, We Broke the Rules (2002), and an English-language version was made for the same album. The song achieved success in many countries, topping many international charts. In France, the song held the French Singles Chart's number-one slot for seven weeks, and as of August 2014, it was the 19th-best-selling single of the 21st century in France, with 565,000 units sold. The song, the singer's 12th single overall, achieved great success in France, becoming the best-selling single of the year.
"Born in Africa" is a song recorded by Sweden-based musician and producer Dr. Alban, released in 1996 by Dr. Records and Tempo Records as the second single from Alban's fourth studio album, Born in Africa (1996). The song was written by Alban with Ari Lehtonen and Jorge Vasconcelo. It peaked at number-one in Finland, number seven in Hungary and number eleven in Sweden, as well as topping the Swedish dance chart, with a total of 11 weeks inside that chart. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Born in Africa" reached number 91 in April 1996.
"Freedom" is a song by Swiss artist DJ BoBo, released in September 1995 by several labels as the fourth and last single from the artist's second album, There Is a Party (1994). The song was a top 10 hit in Europe, reaching number four in Austria (7), Finland (7), Germany (8) and Switzerland (4). On the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number 15 in November 1995, ending up as number 57 on its year-end chart. Outside Europe, "Freedom" charted in Australia (93). The female singers are Natascha Wright and Lisa Noya. Alex Trime and Sven Delgado produced the song. Its music video was directed by Frank Paul Husmann-Labusga who had previously directed the videos for "Let the Dream Come True" and "There Is a Party". "Freedom" sold to Gold in Germany.
"So Sad" is the debut single recorded by German band Gregorian. It was written and produced by Frank Peterson, and is from the album Sadisfaction (1991), on which it appears as the third track. The song is composed of Gregorian chants using biblical verses while in the chorus a woman is asking Jesus Christ why she is so sad. In the music video, she first enters a church, then becomes a nun. The song was included on Gregorian's best of compilation titled Best of 1990–2010, released in 2011, on which it appears as the first track. It became a hit in France and Portugal.

As the previous singles from the album, it was a successful top ten hit, though it was the less-selling one.
