Salegentibacter flavus is a Gram-negative and non-motile bacterium from the genus of Salegentibacter which has been isolated from sediments from the Chazhma Bay. [1] [3] [4] [2]

The cells are straight or curved rods. They are motile by the use of a single flagellum. Most of the species are marine.
