She placed in eighth in the triple jump final at the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships in Nairobi. [2] She was an African Championships silver medallist in Mauritius in 2022. [3] She was a 2023 Francophone Games winner in Kinshasa in 2023. [4]
She was an All-African Games bronze medallist in Accra in March 2024. [5] She won the triple jump at the World Continental Tour Gold event the Golden Grand Prix in Tokyo on 19 May 2024 with a jump of 14.08 metres. [6]
She competed in the triple jump at the 2024 Paris Olympics. [7]
Niurka Montalvo Amaro is a former Cuban and Spanish athlete who specialised in the long jump and triple jump events. Her greatest achievement came in 1999, when she became world champion with a personal best jump of 7.06 metres. She was the autonomous secretary of sport for the Autonomous government of Valencia.
