Samba (Persian : سمبا‎, also Romanized as Sambā and Sombā)^[1] is a village in Kuh Yakhab Rural District, Dastgerdan District, Tabas County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 151, in 28 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script, which itself evolved from the Aramaic alphabet.

Kuh Yakhab Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Dastgerdan District, Tabas County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,764, in 688 families. The rural district has 34 villages.

Dastgerdan District is a district (bakhsh) in Tabas County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 11,659, in 3,246 families. The District has one city: Eshqabad. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Dastgerdan Rural District and Kuh Yakhab Rural District.
