San Blas Atempa is a town and municipality in Oaxaca in south-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 148 square kilometres (57 sq mi).
It is part of the Tehuantepec District in the west of the Istmo Region.
As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 16,899. [1]
Coamo is a town and municipality founded in 1579 in the south-central region of Puerto Rico, located north of Santa Isabel; south of Orocovis and Barranquitas; east of Villalba and Juana Díaz; and west of Aibonito and Salinas. The municipality of Coamo is spread over 10 barrios and Coamo Pueblo – the town or downtown area and administrative center of the city. The Coamo municipality is also a Micropolitan Statistical Area and as such is part of the Ponce-Yauco-Coamo Combined Statistical Area.

Juchitán de Zaragoza is an indigenous town in the southeast of the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is part of the Juchitán District in the west of the Istmo de Tehuantepec region. With a 2020 census population of 88,280, it is the third-largest city in the state. The majority of the indigenous inhabitants are Zapotecs and Huaves. The town also serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality, with which it shares a name. The municipality has an area of 414.64 km2 and a population of 113,570, the state's third-largest in population.
Captain Manuel de Mederos was a Portuguese explorer and settler who was active in the Spanish conquest of Mexico. He was one of the founders of the city of Saltillo, Coahuila and was the mayor of Monterrey.
Amealco is a town in the Mexican state of Querétaro. Its name is thought to mean place of springs in Nahuatl. The municipality seat, also called Amealco, is located 63 km southeast of Santiago de Querétaro. Its elevation is 2,605 meters above sea level, and the annual temperature ranges from 15 to 20 °C. It is one of the oldest settlements of Querétaro, being founded in 1538 by Fernando de Tapia and Nicolás de San Luis Montañez, who would also found the State capital.
Camargo is a municipality in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It is located on the US border, across from Rio Grande City, Texas. It has an official population of 14,933 inhabitants. The municipal seat is Ciudad Camargo, with a population of 7,984. The municipality is connected to Rio Grande City, Texas, via the Rio Grande City-Camargo International Bridge.

The San Blas Battalion was a Mexican infantry unit founded in 1823 in San Blas, Nayarit. Under the name Batallón Activo Guardacostas de San Blas, it saw action on several occasions culminating in the Mexican–American War. The battalion participated in the Battle of Chapultepec, where commanded by Lt. Colonel Felipe Santiago Xicoténcatl, aided in the defense of the Military Academy in the Chapultepec Castle. Of the 300 men comprising the battalion, only a few survived the battle.
José María Narváez was a Spanish naval officer, explorer, and navigator notable for his work in the Gulf Islands and Lower Mainland of present-day British Columbia. In 1791, as commander of the schooner Santa Saturnina, he led the first European exploration of the Strait of Georgia, including a landing on present-day British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. He also entered Burrard Inlet, the site of present-day Vancouver, British Columbia.

In the week of May 23, 1998, the song debuted and reached number eighteen on the U.S. Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. It stayed for a total of six weeks. The song was inspired by a woman in Nayarit, México, who waited for her fiancé to come back from a fishing trip; it was said he died in a storm, but his body was never found, so Rebeca Méndez Jiménez waited for him for 41 years (1971–2012). Méndez Jiménez died on 16 September 2012. The authorities of Nayarit are considering building a statue of her at the San Blas Port.

The Autopista Tepic–San Blas is a toll highway in the Mexican state of Nayarit. The 32.4-kilometre (20.1 mi) road was constructed and is operated by Red de Carreteras de Occidente, which charge cars 49 pesos or 69 pesos to travel the full length of the road.
Hurricane Orlene was a powerful tropical cyclone that caused minor damage to the Pacific coast of Mexico in October 2022. The cyclone was the sixteenth named storm, ninth hurricane, and third major hurricane of the 2022 Pacific hurricane season. Orlene originated from a low-pressure area off the coast of Mexico. Moving towards the north, Orlene gradually strengthened, becoming a hurricane on October 1 and reaching its peak intensity the following day with winds of 130 mph (215 km/h). Orlene made landfall just north of the Nayarit and Sinaloa border, with winds of 85 mph (140 km/h). Soon afterward, Orlene rapidly weakened and became a tropical depression, eventually dissipating over the Sierra Madre Occidental late on October 4.
